#2021-136600/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 06-03-2021 at 0252 hours, a 2017 Nissan Juke was traveling northbound on Airport Way S in the right lane. At S Norfolk St., a 57-year-old male pedestrian was struck by the vehicle as it proceeded through the intersection. There were no marked crosswalks at this signalized intersection, and the pedestrian died on scene. The 61-year-old female driver remained on scene, and a Drug Recognition Expert was called from home to conduct an evaluation. The driver did not appear to be impaired. The Traffic Collision Investigation Squad was called to the scene, and a full scene investigation was conducted.

#2021-137102/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 06-03-2021 at 1505 hours, a female suspect stole items from Walgreens. Security (identified with clothing marked Security) attempted to stop the suspect. The suspect pulled out a Taser and sparked it as she lunged toward security. Officers were able to locate the suspect and arrest her without incident.

#2021-137266/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 06-03-2021 at 1755 hours, officers were flagged down by a man that said he had been pistol whipped and robbed. The victim said he went to the Money Tree to cash his $1400 stimulus check. He went there with an acquaintance. Once the check was cashed the victim went back to a tent in the 1400 block of 3rd that is known as a place for drug use. There were several people inside the tent. Once inside, a male came in from behind, pointed a gun at the victim’s head and told him to empty his pockets. The gunman hit the victim in the back of the head several times with the gun. A female accomplice who was already in the tent reached in the victim’s pockets and took the money. They left the area. The victim directed officers to where he knew the female accomplice stayed. Officers made contact with the female accomplice and arrested her on felony charges. Initially she denied being in the tent but after an extensive interview, she admitted to being in the tent and possessing some of the money that was taken.

#2021-137307/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 06-03-2021 at 1851 hours, officers responded to the Westwood Village area for a report of a theft of multiple fragrances from a beauty supply store. The reporting party provided a description of the suspect and estimated the stolen product value to be $2500. Officers conducted an area check and located a subject matching the provided description hastily walking from the area. The subject was detained and a witness show-up was conducted. After a positive ID was made by the witness, officers took the suspect into custody. Search incident to arrest, the stolen items were recovered, valued at $3094. The evidence was processed and returned to the store. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail.
