#2021-136220/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 06-02-2021 at 0900 hours, an officer was testifying against a suspect in Superior Court and the suspect approached him on two separate occasions in the hallways and inside the entrance to the courthouse in a threatening manner. The suspect was trespassed by court security staff from the courthouse for the remainder of the day. He was seen standing by the officer’s patrol vehicle waiting. The suspect made the threat inside the courthouse before departing to the officer, “If I see you out on the streets, you are going to have to shoot me!” Courthouse security, the prosecutor, and the judge were made aware of the threats to the officer. Tomorrow the suspect’s court case continues, and the same officer will be testifying. A Hazard report was entered into WACIC/NCIC to document the threats to the officer.
#2021-135846/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 06-02-2021 at 1110 hours, vehicle #1 was southbound on 1st Ave in Belltown with a large SUV to the left, also southbound. The pedestrian was westbound in an unmarked crosswalk, hidden from view by the SUV. The SUV suddenly slowed to avoid the pedestrian who continued westbound, stepping out in front of vehicle #1 and was struck. The pedestrian was unresponsive when units arrived. Medic One transported him to Harborview Medical Center. At the time of this report the pedestrian remains unresponsive and unidentified. The driver of vehicle #1 showed no signs of impairment. The Traffic Collision Investigation Squad was notified.
#2021-136075/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 06-02-2021 at 1459 hours, an officer was dispatched to a restaurant in the Chinatown-International District for a report of a NO PAY. Reporting party told officer that a suspect had consumed a meal and as he was leaving, he used hate and biased language. The reporting party confronted the suspect, requesting payment, only to be verbally assaulted with more hate language and threats. Reporting party told the officer that the suspect has used hate language at other businesses in the CID, but owners have not reported it due to language barrier calling 911. The officer asked reporting party to have the businesses call 911 and an interpreter would be used. Suspect was gone on arrival and an area check was negative.
#2021-131785/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-29-2021 at 4th and Bell, a small SUV was taken at gunpoint. It was later involved in a hit and run in New Holly. On 06-02-2021 at 2039 hours, patrol officers spotted the vehicle in the Walgreens lot at 23rd and Jackson. Officers arrested a total of 5 from the vehicle. Robbery detectives responded to the East Precinct to interview the suspects. No one was booked at this time.
