#2021-140585/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 06-07-2021 at 0948 hours, officers responded to an encampment located at 1 Ave S/S Cloverdale St for a female who assaulted a male with a knife. The suspect frequents the encampment because her boyfriend lives in one of the other structures. Officers arrived and contacted the victim, who knows the suspect from previous contacts. The victim stated that he was sleeping in his unit, and the suspect was in crisis. The suspect entered the victim’s unit, and she punched him in the groin. After punching the victim, she told him that he had to leave his own unit. The suspect then brandished a knife. The suspect attempted to stab the victim in the leg, but the knife didn’t penetrate his jeans. The suspect then tried to stab the victim in the stomach, but he was able to block the knife. The victim felt the blade on one of his fingers. Officers set up an arrest team and gave verbal commands for the suspect to exit the encampment. The suspect complied, and she was placed in custody without incident. The knife was recovered. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for felony assault.
#2021-140766/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 06-07-2021 at 1300 hours, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 9200 block of Waters Ave S. Officers arrived and contacted multiple witnesses who reported hearing two shots and then seeing a blue, older model Honda hatchback drive away southbound on Waters Ave S. One victim reported gun shots damaged her home. Patrol officers searched the area for evidence with negative results.
#2021-140803/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 06-07-2021 at 1345 hours, officers on-viewed a robbery in progress near a tent encampment on a downtown street. A victim was being stomped on the ground by 3 suspects while attempting to steal his jacket. Officers were able to arrest one of the suspects and render aid to the victim. Search of the suspect discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine.
#2021-140983/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 06-07-2021 at 1713 hours, a verbal altercation developed in a parking lot between four people regarding a past assault. The victim, in an effort to defend her son, began bragging about owning a firearm. The suspect stated he too had a firearm, and the victim accused the suspect of not owning a firearm. The suspect went into his vehicle and produced a semi-auto handgun, removed the magazine in front of the victim and displayed it causing the victim to feel intimidated. The victim called 911 to report the incident/weapon. The suspect remained on scene for police arrival and was taken into custody after the investigation was concluded. Officers obtained consent to search the suspect’s vehicle and recovered two semi-auto handguns and their respective magazines loaded with ammunition. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail after a Harborview Medical Center visit for an unrelated matter.
#2021-141198/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 06-07-2021 at 2030 hours, an unknown person(s) shot at a home in the 5600 block of 23 AV SW, Seattle WA. A vehicle was heard driving away after the shots. No known injured persons. Suspect(s) at large.
#2021-141229/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 06-07-2021 at 2235 hours, three callers reported three attempted robberies where a male attempted to carjack them. The callers reported the incident at different times throughout a 3-hour period. Officers were able to track down the suspect with the original victim and witnesses’ assistance. Victim show-ups were completed and the suspect was booked into the King County Jail.
#2021-140957/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 06-07-2021 at 2325 hours, officers responded to a report of a male subject pointing a firearm at an adult female. (21-141252). Officers were able to safely remove all occupants from the residence and set up a contact team outside. The suspect was contacted by phone and peacefully walked outside and taken into custody. It was concluded there was no probable cause for any crime as the suspect was suffering from a crisis issue and there was a miscommunication from the woman when she called 911. However, officers were able to establish probable cause that this suspect was involved in an earlier drive by shooting (21-140957). The involved vehicle (with evidence of a shooting on the front seat) parked at the residence along with the suspect’s statements on scene clearly established his involvement from earlier. Officers obtained a consent to search, seized 5 firearms as evidence, and towed the vehicle to the SPD processing room pending a search warrant. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail.
