#2021-154202/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 06-21-2021 at 0016 hours, employees from the Umpqua bank located at the 2600 BLK of California Ave SW found two bullet holes in the glass of the bank so they called 911. The glass on the exterior is a thick laminated glass and it shattered from the bullets. Officer on scene recovered evidence of a shooting on the floor of the bank. Earlier in the morning, there was a shot fired call near the Safeway parking lot which is located near the bank. Currently there are no reported injuries from this incident.

#2021-154692/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 06-21-2021 at 1847 hours, officers responded to a robbery in progress at 4201 SW Morgan ST based on a 911 call from a store employee. The call indicated that the suspect was fighting with employees and customers and had used pepper spray. When officers arrived on scene the subject was located at a bus stop nearby. The subject was booked for Investigation of Robbery and Investigation of Assault. Additional charges for Resisting Arrest with Aggravated Assault were added along with Misdemeanor Assault charges requested for hitting one of the employees with the bag and product during a physical fight inside the store.

#2021-154828/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 06-21-2021 at 2153 hours, a suspect approached the victim to tell him to stay away from someone. An argument ensued and the victim punched the suspect in the face. The suspect produced a fixed blade kitchen style knife and stabbed the victim in the abdomen. The suspect walked away, but later returned to the scene and was arrested by patrol officers. The suspect admitted to stabbing the victim and was still in possession of the knife when he was arrested. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. At the time of this report the victim was in emergency surgery at HMC. SPD Homicide notified.

#2021-154840/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 06-21-2021 at 2202 hours, police were dispatched to the 4300 block of 11 Ave NW, in reference to a robbery. The victim reported that he was robbed by the suspect, who stole his wallet. The victim explained that this incident occurred inside of the victim’s vehicle. The suspect fled the area on foot, in an unknown direction. Police searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
