#2021-149048/South Precinct/Third Watch: On 6-16-2021 at 0125 hours, patrol officers responded to the vicinity of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and South Orcas Street for multiple reports of shots being fired. While processing the scene information was received that a shooting victim had arrived at Valley Medical Center. 

#2021-149101/ East Precinct/ First Watch: On 6-16-2021 at 0346 hours, officers were dispatched to multiple occupied residential burglaries with a similar suspect description. At approximately 0545hrs officers located the suspect attempting to break into another residence with a metal bar. The suspect was taken into custody. The victims from the prior burglaries positively identified the suspect as the individual who was inside of their homes. The suspect was arrested. 

#2021-149244/East Precinct/First Watch: On 6-16-21 at 0848 hours, uniformed officers responded to the 500 block of Summit Ave. to a reported burglary in progress with the homeowner who put the suspect at gunpoint. The suspect then left the residence by way of a second floor balcony down to the ground below and was currently in the alley. Officers responded to the area and located the suspect in the alley to the south of the victim’s apartment building. The victim was able to positively identify the suspect and also advised that during the confrontation inside his apartment the suspect had armed himself with an axe (two sided/bladed) and attempted to threaten/intimidate the victim who was armed with a handgun. Seattle Fire responded to check the suspect for reported breathing issues, he was cleared by SFD and then transported to Harborview Medical Center. The suspect was later cleared by medical and eventually booked into the King County Jail without further incident.

#2021-149600/East Precinct/Second Watch: On 6-16-2021 at 1512 hours, a victim and suspect got into a verbal disturbance. The suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the upper chest. Officers arrested the suspect. The victim was stabilized on scene by SFD and transported to the hospital in critical condition. 

#2021-149823/East Precinct/Third Watch: On 6-16-2021 at 1951 hours, officers responded to the area of 10th Avenue East and East Roy Street for a report of a DUI driver who collided with a vehicle. The initial caller reported the vehicle turned onto 10th Avenue East from East Roy Street, ran up the curb and came off the curb, striking a parked vehicle in the rear. The driver repositioned his vehicle after this collision and continued on. He resumed driving on 10th Avenue East and made it to East Boston Street where he suddenly conducted a U-turn after clearing the intersection. He then turned onto East Boston Street where he traveled into oncoming traffic and struck an occupied vehicle head-on. He then continued on East Boston Street and then turned onto 15th Avenue East. He successfully navigated to East Aloha Street and made another turn, striking two cars that were parked on the north side of the street. At this point, the driver decided to turn onto 14th Avenue East. He proceeded to strike nine more vehicles on the street before finally coming to rest, buried in the driver side door of a station wagon. This final collision ripped the front wheel and axle from the suspect’s vehicle, ending his spree. There was an empty bottle of tequila found on the passenger side floorboard inside of the suspect’s vehicle. The driver was evaluated by SFD and arrested for DUI. A blood warrant was served, and he was booked into King County Jail. No community members were injured, and East Precinct officers investigated 13 different collision scenes.
