#2021-159151/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 06-26-2021 at 0049 hours, a caller reported seeing a group of people shooting guns (not at each other) at the Skate Park by Jefferson Park Golf Course. Officers arrived and located evidence of a shooting but did not locate any victim, suspect, or damage. The group left the area before officers arrived. Patrol processed the scene. Gun Violence Reduction Unit was advised.

#2021-159186/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 06-26-2021 at 0157 hours, officers responded to the S Bailey St I-5 on ramp for a report of a male subject in a vehicle who had been shot in the head. The caller reported a possible female suspect was leaving the scene on foot down the ramp. SPD arrived, secured the scene, and set up containment for K9. A possible suspect was detained but the show up resulted in a negative ID. The K9 track was also completed. Due to the location of the incident, WSP took over the primary investigation.

#2021-159244/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 06-26-2021 at 0430 hours, officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress to the parking garage of a Belltown Apartment building located in the 2900 block of 1 Ave. Two suspects were arrested for Investigation of Burglary and Investigation of VUFA. (A firearm, in the form of a derringer pistol, was located on one of the suspects.) Officers then located the suspects’ vehicle and executed a search warrant. Officers recovered a Glock 19X handgun from the vehicle, one homemade shotgun, various ammunition, two ballistic vests, a shooters med-kit, 15 stolen amazon packages, several USPS letters, stolen check book, burglary tools, several knives, and a pepper ball gun. Notifications made to ATF taskforce and Major Crimes.

#2021-159246/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 06-26-2021 at 0437 hours, officers responded to reported shots fired in the Rainier Beach area. Officers arrived and determined that 2 suspects were interrupted by a neighbor while stealing a catalytic converter. The suspects were able to take the converter and, to prevent the neighbor from stopping them, they fired several shots into the air as they fled in a vehicle. Officers located evidence of a shooting at the scene.

#2021-159410/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 06-26-2021 at 0921 hours, officers responded to the Starbucks located at 23rd and S Jackson St for an armed robbery that had just occurred. Multiple officers arrived and set up containment. One officer located a possible suspect running near a park. K9 arrived and a containment officer located a possible suspect behind a condo unit. Patrol and K-9 contacted the suspect and placed him into custody without incident and recovered the money that was taken in the robbery. Officers transported the suspect back to the East Precinct and interviewed the suspect. In the interview, the suspect provided a full confession for today’s robbery as well as a robbery that occurred yesterday. The suspect was transported and booked into the King County Jail for investigation of Robbery.

#2021-159790/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 06-26-2021 at 1657 hours, a dual response with Seattle Fire to a water emergency on a boat at the north end of Andrews Bay. Reporting Party (RP) stated an intoxicated male jumped into the water off the rear of the boat and did not come back up. The RP stated that they did not know the whereabouts of the male. 20-minute time delay on the 911 call and 40-minute time delay until the proper boat was located and SFD/SPD divers entered the water. Unified Command was established with SFD as the lead. Coast Guard helicopter arrived to assist with air support and divers if needed. The male was not located after an exhaustive underwater search. SFD & SPD recalled divers. Harbor Unit will conduct any further follow up operations.

#2021-159848/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 06-26-2021 at 1800 hours, officers responded to the area of 2600 SW Barton St to investigate a 911 report of a theft from a beauty supply store. The caller provided a suspect description and indicated the suspect stole approximately $3000 worth of makeup items. Officers conducted an area check and located a possible suspect sitting at a nearby bus stop. The suspect was detained, and the witness responded for a field show-up. The witness provided a positive ID of the suspect and the backpack he used, which was sitting nearby. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody and admitted to the theft and claimed the identified backpack as his. Consents to search the backpack was obtained and 22 items were recovered from inside, valued at $1952. The stolen items were processed and returned to the store. Officers collected additional evidence and the suspect was booked into the King County Jail.
