#2021-170976/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-07-2021 at 0047 hours, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1200 block of N 137th St. Officers arrived to find a parked vehicle with bullet damage and blood on the ground. Officers also located evidence of a shooting in the roadway. Information was obtained that the two victims were transported away from the scene, in a witness’s vehicle. A short while later, officers observed the victims being dropped off at NW Hospital. The adult male victim sustained three gunshot wounds (GSW) to his lower extremities. The adult female victim sustained one GSW to her thigh. Both victims were in stable condition. The victims and one witness stated that a passenger in an older white car fired multiple shots at the victims and then fled the scene, EB on N 137th St. One witness and victim tentatively identified a possible suspect. Officers located the suspect vehicle parked near the intersection of 14/Alder. Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) Detectives processed the shooting scene and interviewed both victims at the hospital. The suspect vehicle was impounded. The suspect remains at large. GVRU will handle follow up responsibilities.

#2021-171211/North Precinct/First Watch:

On 07-07-2021 at 0830, a school bus with no children on board was N/B on Lake City Way NE crossing NE 120th St on a green light. A bicyclist rode across Lake City Way NE from the west against the light and was struck by the bus. The cyclist suffered a significant leg/foot injury and was transported to Harborview Medical Center. A Drug Recognition Expert was requested, but none were available. Incident screened with Traffic Collision Investigation Squad.

#2021-171456/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 07-07-2021 at 1307 hours, a juvenile was in the area of 7100 block 18 Ave SW when he located unfired bullets and observed bullet damage to several vehicles in that block. He contacted his mother who called 911. Officers responded to the area and learned that the property damage occurred the night of July 4. No 911 calls were made when the original incident occurred, and no witnesses/suspects were located. The vehicle’s owner was not located for interview.

#2021-171715/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 07-07-2021 at 1810 hours in the 9200 block of Rainier AV S, several juveniles were robbed at gunpoint by multiple juvenile suspects. Clothing as well as a phone were taken. The primary victim was assaulted. Officers and K-9 conducted an area check, but the suspects were not located at this time. One of the suspects may be known to the victims.

#2021-171819/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-07-2021 at 2026 hours, officers were on post for the outbound of the Sounders match at 2 Ext S / S Jackson St. They observed a male suspect assaulting a female and attempted to intervene. The suspect struck one of the officers in the face resulting in a minor injury. The suspect was taken into custody. A Type 2 Use of Force was completed. Officers responded and transported the suspect to King County Jail.

On 07-07-2021 at 2342 hours, a large fight disturbance turned into a gun battle. A vehicle and a business window were struck by gunfire before everyone fled the scene. Patrol arrived and located evidence of a shooting. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit was notified of the incident.
