#2021-190290/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 0047 hours, police were dispatched to the area of 3 Ave/James St in reference to an assault. Upon arrival police located the victim, suffering from a single stab wound. Police units rendered aid until Seattle Fire arrived on scene. Police learned that the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival and there were no witnesses located. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

#2021-190305/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 0123 hours, officers responded to Harborview Medical Center for a report of a victim who was brought into the ER with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was uncooperative and was dropped off in an unknown silver sedan. This victim came in not long after another shooting occurred in Lake City and homicide was consulted on possible association, however the victim was determined to not be involved in that incident. At this time, it is unknown exactly where and how the victim was shot.

#2021-190451/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 0655 hours, officers were patrolling in the area of 7 Av S/S Lane St when they saw a felony warrant (DOC) suspect. When officers went to contact the suspect, he took off running. After a short foot pursuit, officers took the suspect into custody. After being handcuffed, the suspect deliberately stood up and fell backwards causing a small abrasion to his elbow. FIT screened, Level II Use of Force completed. Loaded .45 caliber gun found on search incident to arrest. Suspect booked into King County Jail for VUFA.

#2021-190905/East Precinct/Second Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 0810 hours, a female victim was walking to her workplace when the suspect female was walking in the opposite direction near the intersection of 9 AV and James ST. Without any provocation, the suspect suddenly yelled at the victim to “get out of my way,” “go back to your country,” and “nobody wants you here.” The suspect then punched the victim in the face with a closed fist before walking away from the area. The victim did not report any injuries, but she felt pain when she was punched by the suspect. The victim continued to her workplace and later called 911 to report the incident. Due to the time delay, the suspect was no longer in the area. Patrol officer interviewed the victim and completed a report for the incident.

#2021-190521/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 0814 hours, officers responded to a report of a male shot, victim was located in the encampment area of 8 Av S/S Main St. Victim had multiple gunshot wounds. Victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center via Seattle Fire Medics and expected to recover. Area search for the scene was negative. No witnesses to the shooting were located.

#2021-186759/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 1300 hours, Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) detectives were called about an arrest made in West Seattle by 2nd Watch Patrol on 07-22-21, where a suspect was observed stealing a catalytic converter and leaving in a vehicle. Patrol stopped the vehicle and arrested suspect once Probable Cause was established. After the suspect was taken into custody, he was searched and found to be in possession of 355 Percocet pills and 47.2 grams of Methamphetamine. The vehicle was impounded to the processing room. MCTF obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, and it was subsequently searched. 9 catalytic converters were located as well as a potentially stolen firearm loaded with (13) 10 mm rounds, 111.5 grams of brown “gunpowder” heroin, 26.7 grams of black tar heroin, various misc. pills and $17,220.

#2021-190989/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 1629 hours, officers responded to a fire in a homeless encampment on NE Ravenna Blvd under I-5. When officers arrived 3-4 tents and the associated belongings were fully engulfed in flames. Officers assisted in evacuating people out of nearby tents and keeping them a safe distance away. Propane tanks exploded in the blaze and what sounded like multiple rounds of ammunition also went off in the blaze. Cause of the fire is unknown. Seattle Fire responded and extinguished the flames. Fire Marshal and the SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad were notified.

#2021-191252/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 2105 hours, officers responded to investigate a Hate Crime incident in the 2000 block of Rainier AV S. The victim stated the suspect assaulted him and attempted to run him over with her vehicle because of his race and perceived sexual orientation. There was a disturbance in the drive-through line of the fast-food location where the victim was on foot and refusing to move out of the way for passing vehicles. A verbal argument ensued when the suspect allegedly assaulted him and attempted to hit him as she drove away. Area check for suspect resulted in negative findings. This incident was screened, and appropriate emails were also sent.

#2021-191331/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 2300 hours, a local female transient was accosting and harassing patrons at a local business, which has reportedly been an on-going problem. Tonight, the suspect was harassing people while exposing herself, causing a large scene. A patron attempted to stop the female from harassing and touching him when the female aggressively assaulted him. Officers arrived and developed Probable Cause for the suspect’s arrest. The female ran, triggering a foot pursuit, but the suspect was caught and booked into the King County Jail.

#2021-191341/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 2305 hours, a single vehicle struck a sign and large tree, causing the vehicle to flip. The collision scene was nearly a block long, shutting down both directions of travel in the 1600 block of N 50th ST for over an hour. Patrol directed traffic around the scene and completed the collision investigation. A patrol officer processed the DUI driver.

#2021-191343/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 2306, the victim, a 58 year old male, was hanging out with his friends at the corner of Rainier Av S and S Graham St. The suspect drove up next to the vehicle and exchanged some words with the victim. The suspect then pulled out a handgun, fired one shot at the victim, and drove away. The bullet struck the victim’s right leg. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center by Medic One. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit was advised. Patrol processed the scene. PIO notified.

#2021-191365/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-26-2021 at 2326 hours, police responded to the area of 1 Ave/ Cherry ST, in reference to a tent fire. Responding units were able to extinguish the fire, prior to the arrival of Seattle Fire. The victim reported that two male suspects used a propane torch to set her tent on fire. Police were informed that the two suspects fled the area on foot. Police units spoke with multiple community members in the area, but no one witnessed the event. The victim was not injured during this incident.
