#2021-194507/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 07-30-2021 at 0022 hours, Norcom for Bellevue PD contacted SPD Radio about an armed robbery (take over Marijuana shop) in Bellevue. All suspects were armed with handguns and fled in a vehicle. Bellevue PD tracked the suspect’s vehicle to Seattle and gave us the exact location. Bellevue PD confirmed that there is Probable Cause (PC) for Robbery 1. Officers responded to the location and found all suspects inside the vehicle. Since there’s PC for Robbery 1, officers contacted all 3 suspects to arrest them for Robbery 1. The driver was taken into custody without incident. The rear passenger attempted to run but officers were able to arrest him after a brief struggle. The front passenger ran away from the vehicle and was still outstanding. K9 responded but was unable to locate the 3rd suspect. All suspects, the vehicle, and evidence were turned over to Bellevue PD and their Robbery Unit Detectives. Multiple ski masks, packaged marijuana, large marijuana bags, and a handgun were recovered. SPD Robbery Unit was notified because the handgun and suspects’ description appeared similar to several recent 7-11 robberies in Seattle. One South Pct Patrol Officer scraped his elbow during an arrest. Two Type I Uses of Force were completed.
