On 08-06-2021 at 1602 hours, officers responded to the home of a Facilities Manager for a Catholic Church located in the North Precinct. The caller reported that sometime overnight last night (8-5-21) unknown person(s) defaced the church with graffiti. The graffiti consisted of an anarchist symbol of a circle with a “A” through it, “1000s OF BODIES”, “THEY WERE CHILDREN”, “YOU’RE ON STOLEN LAND”, and “SHAME ON YOU” were sprayed on the building and believed it might be a reaction because of the recent news on the remains of unmarked indigenous children’s graves found in a near a school in Canada.
