#2021-212151/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 08-15-2021 at 1832 hours, an Electronic Dance Music concert was held at the Fisher Pavilion on the Seattle Center Campus. Event security notified officers working the event that they had a person who needed to be ejected for fighting. Security and another patron had the subject on the ground. Security and the subject’s girlfriend asked officers to assist with escorting him out of the venue. Officers assisted in removing the subject outside of the fence line to the venue. Once outside, the subject attempted to regain entry into the venue but was denied by officers. The subject donkey-kicked the fence into one of the officers causing the officer to fall forward and causing pain. The subject ran onto the North Fountain Lawn where he fell and was taken into custody for assaulting the officer. The subject continued to kick at officers, striking one officer but did not cause pain. Officers working the event called for additional resources as an anti-police crowd began to assemble around the officers. Several West Precinct patrol resources along with some CRG bicycle officers responded. The subject was placed into a patrol car and taken to jail. The injured officer will seek medical treatment on his own.
