#2021-210944/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 08-14-2021 at 1600 hours, Major Crimes Task Force Detectives concluded a two-week investigation that resulted in the previously reported seizure of US Currency and Fentanyl laden oxycodone pills with the recovery of a firearm today. Detectives recovered a Ruger-57 (5.7×28) loaded with fifteen rounds of ammunition capable with penetrating body armor.

#2021-211073/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 08-14-2021 at 1802 hours, a suspect stabbed a victim in the back multiple times. The stab wounds were non-life threatening. An area check for the suspect had negative results.

#2021-211169/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-14-2021 at 1944 hours, witnesses observed a suspect toss an unknown object inside a dumpster, immediately igniting the contents, before he fled the scene on an electric scooter. No significant property damage, death, or life-threatening injuries occurred, and the suspect was not located. Fire Marshal did not respond. SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad was notified.

#2021-211293/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-14-2021 at 2151 hours, officers responded to the 300 block of 18th Ave for a report of a shot fired. When officers arrived on scene, they located damage that appeared to be from a shotgun on the exterior of the residence with one buckshot entering the residence and one on the ground near the entry points. It appeared the shot location was directly across the street from a known crisis address. Officers attempted to contact that resident, but due to escalating behavior officers left the scene.

#2021-211400/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-14-2021 at 2328 hours, officers responded to assist Fire call at 8 AV N / John ST as there were 3 vehicles on fire. Seattle Fire had Fire Marshal respond who determined this was an arson. Security from the construction site across from the scene caught the incident on their security cameras and called 911. SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad was advised of the call. Registered Owner of one vehicle was on scene. Unable to locate owners for the other 2 vehicles which were then towed from scene.
