#2021-223732/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-27-2021 at 2000 hours, the victim arranged via Offer Up to purchase an iPhone for $600. At the pre-arranged meeting spot of 18th Ave SW/SW Elmgrove St, the victim was approached by 3 unknown males, one of which punched the victim in the face before producing a handgun and pointing it at the victim. The males stole the victim’s wallet and $600 before fleeing on foot. Due to an extended time delay in reporting, the suspects were unable to be located. Robbery notified.

#2021-223809/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-27-2021 at 2120 hours, the suspect, while inside a local grocery establishment in the 4700 block of 42nd Ave SW, concealed several food items in a bag before attempting to leave with the goods worth approximately $250. The loss prevention staff observed via store surveillance and went to confront the male after he exited the building. The suspect held up pepper spray and warned the staff, “I will spray you”, but the staff members grabbed at the suspect’s bag. A struggle ensued and the suspect indeed spray the victims with pepper spray. After fleeing the scene, the suspect was reported to have been assaulted by a dozen people at a nearby bus stop before continuing his flight. An area check was conducted with negative results. Robbery notified.

#2021-223874/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-27-2021 at 2225 hours, two female community members were walking down the street when an unknown male suspect approached them on foot. The suspect grabbed one of the victims from behind and pulled her to the ground removing her purse in the process. The suspect pointed a firearm at the other victim and demanded her purse. The suspect fled and was seen leaving the area in a red sedan. An area check for the suspect was negative.

#2021-223892/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-27-2021 at 2259 hours, citizens reported shots fired at 2 Av. & Pine St. Patrol units in the area also heard the gun fire. Upon arrival, patrol units located a victim who sustained a gunshot wound hiding in the entrance to the bus tunnel in the 300 block of Pine St. Witnesses reported seeing two males shooting at each other in the 200 block of Pine St. Evidence of a shooting was located on Pine St. between 2nd and 3rd Av. The victim was hit by a stray round. A suspect vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant. Both suspects fled the area. The victim was transported by Seattle Fire to Harborview Medical Center. Gun Violence Reduction Unit responded and processed the crime scene and will conduct follow up investigations.

#2021-223870/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-27-2021 at 2300 hours, officers observed a Hyundai illegally parked on Nagle Pl. The vehicles license plates did not match the vehicle description and the Hyundai fled from bicycle officers. A marked patrol vehicle located and stopped the vehicle a few blocks away. The driver and passenger were arrested, and a stolen handgun was recovered. The Hyundai was not reported stolen at the time of the incident.

#2021-223927/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-27-2021 at 2347 hours, citizens reported multiple shots fired near Occidental Av. S. & E. Yesler. A Maroon Ford Focus was seen speeding from the location. Several blocks away pedestrians flagged down SPD officers and advised that someone in the same suspect vehicle pointed a gun at them. Officers attempted to stop the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled and crashed near 21 Av. & E. Yesler. Two males fled from the vehicle and two females remained. Both male suspects were apprehended, and all were detained. Three firearms and multiple fired shell casings were visible in plain view within the passenger compartment of the suspect vehicle. Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) responded to both locations and processed the crime scenes. No one was hit by gunfire. The suspect vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant. All suspects were transported to SPD Headquarters. The adult male driver was booked into SCORE for a warrant. The second male (juvenile) was booked for UPFA into YSC. The two females were interviewed and released. GVRU will conduct the follow up investigation.
