#2021-225052/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-29-2021 at 0149 hours, multiple callers heard 5 gunshots in the 300 block of N. 105 St. While officers were enroute, callers updated they heard a vehicle collision. The investigation revealed in part, that one vehicle was shot at by occupants in a separate vehicle. The two vehicles hit almost head-on leaving one vehicle at the scene. The occupants of this vehicle fled before officers arrived. An area check was negative. The second vehicle drove from the scene leaving a partial trail of various vehicle parts. This vehicle is still outstanding. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit Sergeant was notified and consulted of the incident. Patrol processed the scene. Evidence of a shooting was found. The remaining vehicle was impounded with a hold for GVRU.

#2021-225104/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 08-29-2021 at 0331 hours, officers responded to a call to assist Seattle Fire with a male that had pulled the fire alarm at the Estelle Building. As fire arrived, the suspect, who resides in the building on the fifth floor (facing Rainier Ave S), broke out his apartment windows and glass began to rain down onto the west sidewalk along Rainier Ave S. As officers were arriving, the male yelled out the window and said he had a gun and wanted to speak with a negotiator. Rainier Ave S was closed in both directions and the area contained. Officers engaged the suspect verbally via an intercom until negotiators arrived and assumed communications with the suspect. After nearly a four-hour standoff, the suspect exited his apartment and surrendered to a contact team. The suspect was arrested for malicious mischief and booked into the King County Jail. SWAT screened the incident.

#2021-225122/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 08-29-2021 at 0421 hours, a witness called 911 to report a suspect was inside a Starbucks at 1 Av / Pike St attempting to take the cash register. Units quickly responded to the area and located a possible suspect less than a block away. The witness confirmed this was the suspect seen inside the store, which was later additionally verified via evidence. He was placed into custody and all the stolen items, including iPads and packaged coffee, were returned to the store and given to the manager. Suspect was booked for Burglary. #2021-225778/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch: On 08-29-2021 at 2053 hours, officers responded to the South Park Community Center for a large-scale fight. Reports rolled in of 30-50 people fighting with at least 1 unconscious female. Officers responded to the chaotic, sprawling scene with fights still occurring. Once the scene was mostly settled down, Medical Attention to the unconscious victim was applied immediately. Additional victims were attended to as well as more officers arrived. The single primary suspect had fled the scene and many of the remaining attendees were unwilling to assist. One victim had been strangled to unconsciousness, one had been struck in the head and claimed to have lost consciousness, a final victim was punched in the ear. Seattle Fire treated the minor injuries on scene. One assault victim self-transported to Swedish Hospital, one was treated on scene and the last was transported to Harborview Medical Center via AMR.
