#2021-226957/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 08-31-2021 at 0159 hours, a gunshot victim arrived at Harborview Medical Center with an injury to his foot. The victim was unwilling to cooperate or provide any information regarding how he was shot, when, or at what location. His injury was non-life -threatening.
#2021-227041/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 08-31-2021 at 0634 hours, officers responded to the area of a shots call. The caller/witness reported that a vehicle pulled to the side of the road and the driver fired three shots into the hillside from the vehicle. The vehicle then left the area. There were no reports of injury or property damage. Officers and an Arson Bomb Squad K9 that was in the area did a check for evidence and damage.
#2021-227185/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 08-31-2021 at 0902 hours, officers responded to a school due to a student emailing a teacher about students bringing guns to the school. The school went into lockdown and units responded. The principle and officers spoke with the student about what they had heard. It became apparent quickly that the timeline of events given by the student was not possible. Officers did a check of the property for anything out of place. The school released from lockdown and thanked officers.
#2021-227364/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 08-31-2021 at 1247 hours, during an ongoing operation coordinated by Major Crimes Task Force, officers arrested two suspects for a DOC Felony Warrant and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon. One handgun was recovered at the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was impounded pending application for a search warrant and both suspects were booked into King County Jail.
#2021-227362/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 08-31-2021 at 1301 hours, officers responded to a crisis incident that involved harassment and bias elements from the subject. The subject is well known to officers as there have been several crisis incidents and reports about him. Officers responded to a business located at 1107 NW 54 St as the subject was threatening to purchase a firearm and kill several people, including his mother and siblings. The subject also emailed his mother and the business owner in which he made hate/bias comments. The subject is actively attempting to purchase a firearm and has made comments about shooting anyone who tries to stop him, including law enforcement officers. #2021-227792/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 08-31-2021 at 2105 hours, two groups of males ran into each other in front of a convenience store in the 7500 block M L King Jr Way S and they exchanged gunfire. A motorist (victim) was driving by the location on MLK and a bullet struck his vehicle. By the time officers arrived, both groups had left. The victim drove home and called 911. Officers processed the scene and collected evidence of a shooting. The report will forward to Gun Violence Reduction Unit.
