#2021-233187/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 09-06-2021 at 0300 hours, multiple reports of a shooting came in around 1300 E Columbia St. Officers converged on the area and were unable to locate a shooting victim or scene. Later in the day, 1st watch responded to a victim, who located a bullet that was logged into his wall directly above his bed. Officers canvased the area and looked for additional entry points and victims but did not locate anything further.

#2021-233232/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 09-06-2021 at 0514 hours, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the CID. Victim was located in the 800 blk of S. King with a wound to his shoulder. Officers rendered aid until Seattle Fire arrived and assumed care/transport. Officers followed the blood trail from S. King to Jackson to along the northbound side of I-5 where they located evidence of a shooting on I-5 n/b. The victim identified a potential suspect, this suspect is a person of interest in a previous shooting in the CID and has a DOC warrant. Homicide consulted. Patrol processed the scene.

#2021-233276/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 09-06-2021 at 0730 hours, officer was on patrol when he heard a female screaming for assistance. The officer found the female victim bleeding from the head with significant head trauma. Officer provided medical assistance until Seattle Fire arrived. Female was transported to Harborview Medical Center by Medics and was unconscious at the time. Officers found a possible scene about 100 yards from where the female was found. Officers gathered evidence and Homicide was called and advised about the incident.

#2021-233672/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 09-06-2021 at 1722 hours, units responded to an armed robbery/felony assault call involving two suspects, one armed with a handgun and one with a reciprocating saw. Officers located the suspect vehicle leaving the area and attempted to stop it, resulting in a short pursuit (#2021-233686) which traveled onto I-5 and then back onto Beacon Hill. The suspect vehicle (later determined to be stolen out of Renton) was dumped on Beacon Hill (#2021-233697) and a suspect was seen fleeing through back yards and over fences. A K9 track was attempted but was unsuccessful. The suspect dropped a bag with the firearm, and the suspect’s own wallet with photo ID, inside. The ID matched the suspect seen driving the suspect vehicle prior to eluding and is an individual with an extensive history and known to South Precinct officers. The second suspect remains unidentified as of this writing. The recovered vehicle was taken as evidence for processing.

#2021-233699/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 09-06-2021 at 1744 hours, a neighbor called 9-1-1 to report 2 men using a crowbar to force entry into victim’s house. The neighbor stated the homeowner was out of town, and no one should be entering the home. The neighbor gave a description of the suspects and the car they were seen in earlier as they cased the house. Officers responded to the area, secured and searched the house. Tracked the suspects, and an officer ultimately located one of the suspects sitting in the suspect vehicle on the other side of Aurora several blocks from the crime scene. The officer detained the suspect, who was positively identified as the person who entered the home. Officers also located items stolen in the burglary discarded between the home and the vehicle. One suspect is still outstanding, and one was booked into King County Jail. Suspect vehicle impounded to tow lot as Vehicle Processing Room was full. K9 arrived but was unable to attempt a track due to homeless encampment/hazards.

#2021-233887/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 09-06-2021 at 2127 hours, a suspect walked into the Rainier Beach Safeway, stole some food and wine, and concealed them in his backpack. A female employee asked the suspect to return those items and even offered to pay for his food “if he’s hungry”. The suspect pulled out a 7-inch pocket knife and threatened the employee with it. The suspect was arrested a few blocks away. Most items were recovered and returned to the store. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery. The report will forward to the Robbery Unit.
