#2021-240303/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 09-13-2021 at 0006 hours, multiple callers reported a person firing a shot into the air in the 1500 block of 11 Av. Officers responded to the area and located evidence of a shooting. No victims or damage was located. A witness in the area reported that they heard the shooting and went to investigate and saw a person known to be armed in the past flee the area possibly going to a music studio. Officers did not locate the possible suspect. Patrol processed the scene.
#2021-240332/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 09-13-2021 at 0137 hours, officers responded to 1433 11 AV to a report of a disturbance. Officers arrived and located a very intoxicated male who was unable to fully convey what happened to him. Witnesses reported that he had been in the street in front of the business making unwanted advances at a female in a group and harassing the other members of the group. At some point the male ended up being pushed to the ground and a male in the group with the female took the flip flop off the victim and hit him with it. The suspect then went through the victim’s pockets and stole his wallet and cell phone prior to fleeing the area. The victim was very uncooperative and belligerent, apparently due to his intoxication. Officers ensured that he had a ride home.
#2021-240380/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 09-13-2021 at 0355 hours, officers responded to a burglary in progress at a market. Several suspects broke through the front door, hooked a chain to an ATM and attempted to pull it out of the front door with a van. They were unsuccessful and fled. Officers located the suspects in the van a couple of blocks away and detained them. The van was full of a tools, a chain, and plastic parts of an ATM and was impounded. The three suspects located inside were placed in custody and booked into King County Jail.
#2021-240443/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 09-13-2021 at 0654 hours, officers responded to area of Western Av / Marion St on report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim a couple of blocks from the shooting scene. He had a gunshot wound to the ankle and the leg and was transported to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) for treatment. He did not disclose information about the incident, but evidence was obtained. Approximately an hour later, a different gunshot victim walked into HMC with a gunshot to the face. He did not provide information about the incident and was treated. At time of this report, the details of the incident are still unclear, though a firearm was recovered at the scene, along with evidence of a shooting.
#2021-240549/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 09-13-2021 at 0912 hours, officers responded to Occidental Park on report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a victim with a severe laceration to his face. Seattle Fire responded and transported him to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. It was determined this victim was walking his dog through the park and confronted two suspects about their large and loud pitbull dog. An argument began, during which the suspects told the victim they would “stick (him) in the neck”. The stabbing victim “maced” the two suspects, who then pulled out a knife and slashed the victim in the face. Bicycle officers were on scene quickly and detained the 2 suspects, who were eventually placed in custody. The knife was recovered, and animal control responded to the scene and took custody of the pitbull.
#2021-240796/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 09-13-2021 at 142o hours, the victim interrupted the theft of his catalytic converter. Suspect 1 was under the vehicle and used a power tool to remove the converter. Suspect 2 was the look out. When the victim confronted the suspects, he was pushed to the ground and the suspects presented handguns. Suspect 1 assaulted the victim by kicking him several times while he was on the ground. The suspects later fled in a Silver Audi Q7, driven by a 3rd suspect (possibly a female). The suspects were described as males in their 20’s.
#2021-240736/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 09-13-2021 at 1446 hours, officers responded to the Olympic Sculpture Park for a male subject, possibly high/intoxicated, yelling at people as they passed by. The subject was yelling threats and swinging around a metal object. Officers attempted to detain the subject for a mental health evaluation at a local hospital under ITA. When contacting the subject, he attempted to punch an officer, swinging, but missing. The subject was taken into custody, without incident, for attempting to assault the officer. The subject was booked into King County Jail. This incident was screened, and a hazard report was completed.
#2021-241239/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 09-13-2021 at 2300 hours, several suspects entered a building in the 600 block of South Weller St and took over the establishment. The location is used by friends to gather and play games. The suspects were armed with handguns. They stole money and personal property from those in attendance. The suspects escaped and are at large. No officers or victims were injured during this incident.
