On 09-24-2021 at 0221 hours, a 2004 Ford Expedition driven by a 34-year-old female was northbound on 15th Ave W. The driver failed to negotiate the slight curve in the roadway at W. Galer St. The driver crossed the southbound lanes of 15th Ave W and drove onto the west sidewalk where she struck a power pole sheering it at the base. The vehicle continued northbound on the sidewalk area before crossing W. Garfield St and entering the tiny home encampment on the NW corner. The driver died at the scene. A front seat passenger in her mid-40s suffered minor scratches on her arm. It is possible the driver had a medical emergency, however, that has not been confirmed.
