#2021-256166/East Precinct/ First Watch: On 9-18-2021 at 1058 hours, 911 dispatch received a call about a suspicious package at the Madrona Library. The package was described as having wires connected to a locking mechanism. Arson Bomb Squad members determined the suspicious package was empty.

#2021-256742/East Precinct/Third Watch: On 9-28-2021 at 2020 hours, officers were alerted to an attempted carjacking in the 800 block of 34th Avenue. The victim said the suspect attempted to hit his vehicle with a hammer, demanding the victim get out of the vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. At 2052 hours, the same suspect successfully carjacked a vehicle in the 400 block of Lakeside Avenue South.

#2021-256744/South Precinct/Third Watch: On 9-28-2021 at 2056 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle roll over collision. Officers were told the driver was able to get out of the vehicle and leave. Officers discovered the crashed vehicle had been carjacked moment earlier in the East Precinct, case number #2021-256742. The suspect, who was carrying an ax, then entered a nearby house through an unlocked door. He fled as soon as he encountered the homeowner. The suspect then swung the ax at a car driving down the street. No injuries occurred. The suspect was arrested.

#2021-256671/East Precinct/Third Watch: On 09-28-2021 at 1927 hours, officers were dispatched to reports of gunfire near 24th Avenue South and South Main Street. Witnesses said an occupant of a gray SUV exchanged gunfire with someone on the street. The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling north on 23rd Avenue South. No arrests were made.

#2021-256980/West Precinct/First Watch: On 09-29-2021 at 0441 hours, officers responded to a report of a stabbing at Pioneer Park. Officers found the victim in a tent with a wound to his wrist. The victim was unable to explain what happened. No arrests were made.

#2021-257375/West Precinct/Second Watch: On 09-29-2021 at 1242 hours, officers on-viewed a flight between a store security officer and a robbery suspect. According to the security officers, the suspect attempted to walk out of the store wearing merchandise they didn’t pay for. When confronted, the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened to stab the security officers. One security officer was injured after being kicked in the face. The suspect was arrested.

#2021-257830/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 09-29-2021 at 2145 hours, multiple callers reported hearing shots fired in the 2600 block of 36 Ave SW. Officers responded to the scene and located evidence of a shooting from tonight and additional evidence that appeared to be from a previous incident. Witnesses reported a vehicle fleeing the scene but could not provide a description. No property damage or victims were located.

#2021-257888/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 09-29-2021 at 2327 hours, five callers reported hearing 3 to 5 shots being fired in a residential neighborhood. Responding officers located evidence of a shooting but no property damage or victims were located. Callers reported hearing a vehicle speeding away southbound, but no suspect vehicle was located.
