#2021-257975/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 09-30-2021 at 0236 hours, officers responded to the area of 8 Av and Seneca St for a report of a disturbance involving shots fired. Officers arrived and received reports from multiple witnesses regarding possible suspects, however no suspects or victims were located. Evidence of a shooting was recovered.
#2021-258259/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 09-30-2021 at 1200 hours, SPD officers, DOC and ATF conducted a surveillance/arrest operation in Tukwila. The suspect was wanted for a shooting in Federal Way, an SPD eluding case, and multiple warrants. Detectives followed the suspect from his residence to a nearby grocery store where he was taken into custody. The suspect’s vehicle was impounded by Federal Way PD for a search warrant. The suspect was transported to Federal Way PD prior to being booked into King County Jail.
#2021-258583/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 09-30-2021 at 1623 hours, patrol officers responded to what turned out to be an attempted robbery at a marijuana store near Dexter Ave N / Hayes St. The suspect damaged property, assaulted employees, threatened employees, and attempted to force his way into the store to coerce employees to give him free marijuana. Officers arrived on scene and employees pointed the suspect out to them as he was walking away. Probable Cause was established, and the officers followed the suspect on foot waiting for additional officers to arrive. Type 2 Use of Force was used, and the suspect taken into custody when he armed himself with a broken glass bottle just outside the tiny home village off Aloha St. The suspect was booked for attempted robbery and assault on officers. #2021-258852/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 09-30-2021 at 2245 hours, multiple callers reported hearing shots fired in the 3800 block of 49 Ave SW. Responding officers located evidence of a shooting. One vehicle and two houses were hit, but no injuries were reported. Witnesses reported hearing a vehicle fleeing the scene but were not able to provide a description. Patrol processed the scene, and the Gun Violence Reduction Unit was notified.
