#2021-275849/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-18-2021 at 0820 hours, officers responded to a large fire at an encampment. They were directed by witnesses to a suspect who was seen leaving the scene of the fire. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to South Precinct for Arson Bomb Squad. Detectives interviewed the suspect and determined there was no Probable Cause to arrest for the crime of Arson. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for a felony warrant. The encampment was a total loss. No victims were located, and no injuries were reported.

#2021-193794/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-18-2021 at 1230 hours, Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives learned the location of a suspect with a Felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1st degree warrant. Detectives contacted SWAT who effected the arrest of the suspect without incident. Suspect was booked into King County Jail.

#2021-276324/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-18-2021 at 1652 hours, the subject entered the drug store located near Rainier Av S/ S Genesee St. The manager recognized the subject as a chronic shoplifter and informed security. The subject was selecting batteries when he was told he had to leave. The subject punched the security staff in the face and a struggle ensued, with the subject falling to the ground and hitting his head. The subject sustained a head injury that was bleeding profusely and fled on foot. Officers checked the surrounding area with negative results.

#2021-276455/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-18-2021 at 1835 hours, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 7700 block of 39 AV S. Several cars were seen speeding through the area at the time of this incident. Officers located a pick-up truck at the scene with obvious bullet holes. No people were found injured and no homes had obvious damage. Officers looked for evidence. The suspects are outstanding.

#2021-276668/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-18-2021 at 2329 hours, officers responded to a call of a motor vehicle accident involving a metro bus. According to witness accounts the bus was driving northbound on 11 Avenue NE when it crossed NE 45 St. A vehicle driving westbound on NE 45 St. ran the red light and struck the bus. The bus crashed into a fence surrounding an unoccupied tiny house village. The bus driver was treated for minor injuries and transported to the hospital. The driver of the vehicle was treated and transported to the hospital. Three passengers were on the bus at the time of the accident. None of them were injured.
