#2021-280935/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-23-2021 at 0134 hours, officers and detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit on-viewed multiple shots fired near Occidental Ave S and S Yesler Way while on bar emphasis. The shooting was a continuation of an earlier fight disturbance handled by patrol officers at a Pioneer Square club. A second fight took place at the Sunken Ship parking garage. Following that fight a male suspect walked away then fired multiple rounds from a handgun at two females. The females were also armed with handguns and fired shots at the male suspect before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Based on the description from a witness, officers located the vehicle with the females in it and recovered two handguns. The females admitted being involved in the shooting. Both their guns and CCW permits were placed into evidence. Sgt. witnessed the involved male put a handgun in a vehicle parked near Occidental Ave S and S Washington St. The male then fled the scene and was not located. A total of 3 handguns and other evidence was recovered from this incident. Both involved females were investigated and released at the scene. The registered owner of the car with the gun gave consent to search her vehicle. Follow up will be handled GVRU.

#2021-281164/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-23-2021 at 0912, a suspected entered a pharmacy located in Magnolia and walked behind the counter and pointed a pistol at the store manager, then asked him to empty all three cash registers. The suspect the followed the manager to the office and had the manager empty the safe. The suspect instructed the manger to wait 10 minutes before calling 911. The suspect left on foot. K-9 tracked the scent to an empty parking lot. The robbery was screened with a robbery supervisor.

#2021-281355/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-23-2021 at 1350 hours, victims were walking into a large second-hand store when they confronted a man who they thought was car prowling. The male victim told the suspect that he was going to call police. The victims then entered the store and began shopping. They happened to select a metal t-ball bat and continued to shop. The suspect then came up behind the male victim and struck him in the back of the head with a softball sized rock, knocking him to the ground. The men continued to fight, and the female victim picked up the t-ball bat and began hitting the suspect in the head. The suspect got up and assaulted the female and her dog before running away through the store. Store security was able to grab the suspect and hold him until police arrived. Both the male victim and the suspect suffered open head wounds that required medical treatment. They were both seen by Seattle Fire on scene and transported to the hospital for further medical care. Homicide notified.

#2021-281477/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-23-2021 at 1616 hours, officers responded to 911 calls reporting a stabbing in the 200 block of Bell St near the dog park. Officers located the victim and secured the scene for Seattle Fire to provide aid. The victim appeared to have sustained approximately 10 wounds. The suspect was reported wearing a ski mask and dark clothing last seen running north through the alley. Witnesses were located. A possible suspect was located near Western Ave / Wall St. The clothing description matched, and a witness did a show up. K9 was requested to do a track of the suspect and possibly find the weapon used, but k9 was not available and the crime scene had already been heavily contaminated by vehicular and pedestrian traffic prior to being secured. The suspect was arrested and booked for Assault. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for his injuries. At the time of this SIR, the victim was still alive. Homicide was contacted, screened the incident, and instructed officers to process the scene and route the report to them. Officers will attempt to obtain a search warrant for the suspect’s vehicle, which was located near where the suspect was apprehended.

#2021-281489/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-23-2021 at 1633 hours, officers responded to the area of 55 Av S/ S Roxbury St to a report of 10 shots heard. Arriving officers found evidence of a shooting going down the block likely from a moving vehicle. There were no other witnesses or intended target information available. Evidence of a shooting was collected.

#2021-281534/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-23-2021 at 1716 hours, an unknown male suspect entered a cellular phone store in the Othello neighborhood. The suspect posed as a customer and when shown a new iPhone, took it and began to leave the store. When the employee protested, the suspect told him not to try and stop him. the suspect then produced a pistol and fired a round into a sign display before exiting the store and fleeing on foot northbound. Officers arrived and conducted an extensive area search for the suspect as no canine unit was available. Robbery was notified of the incident. Patrol processed the scene.

#2021-281672/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-23-2021 at 2024 hours, while investigating a disturbance involving a possible shot, officers heard approx. 10-15 shots coming from about a block away to the S/E. Officers moved and searched for the shooting scene. Multiple people heard the shots as well, but no scene, victims or evidence were located.

#2021-281733/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-23-2021 at 2147 hours, Reporting Party (RP) claimed that he was shot at after a road rage incident while driving by the South Pct. Officers searched the area but were not able to find any evidence of a shooting and there was no damage to the RP’s vehicle. A report was written.

#2021-281752/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-23-2021 at 2211 hours, a suspect committed a strong- arm carjacking at 3rd and Pine. During his flight from the scene, the suspect committed a series of 4 hit and runs spanning from Pike Place Market to South Lake Union. Officers located the vehicle dumped at 7th and Thomas. Suspect not located.

#2021-281771/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-23-2021 at 2248 hours, officers observed a running vehicle with an odor of burning oil coming from it. Officers contacted the driver and while speaking with the driver, radio returned that the vehicle was an SPD stolen. Officers went to take suspect into custody, but he resisted. Officers took the suspect to the ground where he sustained minor abrasions but was able to kick one of the officers prior to being handcuffed. Officer sustained minor injuries. Suspect booked into King County Jail for Assault 3 and possession of a stolen vehicle. An unregistered AR-15 was also recovered from the vehicle with 2 magazines and approximately 100 rounds of ammunition.
