#2021-283962/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-26-2021 at 0431 hours, officers responded to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) for a female who just arrived with a gunshot wound to her arm. Officers arrived and located the female victim in her vehicle outside of the hospital. The victim had an obvious gunshot wound to her left arm. Officers negotiated with her for several minutes before she was willing to exit vehicle. Once inside, officers spoke with the victim who reported being at the Shell gas station on S Dearborn St when she was approached by an unknown male. She spoke with the male for a few moments and then left the scene in her vehicle. She then observed the same male at a nearby intersection and the two exchanged words. The male suspect then opened fire into her vehicle striking her in the arm. The victim fled the scene and went to HMC. Officers attempted to locate a scene but could not find one. Screened with Homicide.

#2021-284217/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-26-2021 at 1126 hours, a large response of Patrol, SWAT, and CRT units responded to a local high school regarding second-hand threats via the internet to shoot up the school on this date. An investigation aided by the school staff was unable to link to a suspect. Information was provided for follow-up. Officers remained on scene to for dismissal of students at the end of the school day.

#2021-284457/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-26-2021 at 1600 hours, a suspect entered a bank and asked about opening an account to cash a check. The teller explained to him what the steps were and the suspect left. He returned about 15 minutes later and handed the same teller a note asking for all of the money in her till. The suspect produced a gun and pointed it at the teller. She complied with his demands. The suspect then contacted another employee and forced him into the vault area where he took additional money. The suspect then left on foot. Robbery Unit detectives responded to the scene and interviewed the victims. The suspect struck the male victim in the back of the head with his gun during the robbery. This robbery is related to a series of bank robberies being investigated.

#2021-284449/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-26-2021 at 1700 hours, officers responded to an apartment building for a report of a bias crime. The victim stated she was assaulted by another resident of the building. The resident used racially bias language towards her, and she also believed the attack was partially predicated on her gender. Bias email sent.
