2021-292571/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 11-03-2021 at 2252 hours, officers were called to 15th Avenue South for a single vehicle collision. Officers believe the vehicle involved was traveling at a high rate of speed when it hit a telephone pole. The driver, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
2021-292471/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 11-03-2021 at 2200 hours, Community Response Group officers observed a vehicle believed to have been involved in a shooting from Oct. 31. A traffic stop was conducted, and officers immediately saw that the driver had a firearm. Both people in the car were taken into custody and two firearms were recovered. A search warrant was served and additional evidence was located.
2021-292202/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 11-03-2021 at 1520 hours, a shoplifter pointed a firearm at a loss prevention officer at a Safeway Store on 15th Avenue Northeast. The suspect ran from the store and is still at large.
#2021-291686/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 11-03-2021 at 0455 hours, officers were dispatched to a call of a female with bloody hands and feet. Upon arrival, the female immediately began walking toward the 2-officer unit while flailing her arms and attempting to shove the officers. The officers were able to detain the female, who had a large amount of blood on her hands and feet. The involved officers then discovered that they had blood on several areas of their uniforms and one of the officers stated he believes blood went into his eye. Seattle FD was on scene and provided the officer with a saline rinse. He was then transported to Harborview Medical Center for medical treatment, along with the suspect for source testing. Once she is medically cleared, the suspect will be booked for Investigation of Assault and Burglary, as she received her injuries while breaking a large window on a nearby business and entering unlawfully.
#2021-292068/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 11-03-2021 at 1245 hours, a male suspect was in a bank in the 1400 block of 5 Ave and caused a disturbance, during which he was asked to leave by the bank manager. The suspect then called 911 to report his dissatisfaction to the police, but before police could arrive, the suspect re-entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller prepared an envelope of money and set it on the counter, but the suspect left the bank without taking the money. Officers attempted to locate the suspect at his residence, but he was not home. Robbery Unit was notified.
