#2021-280823/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-12-2021 at 1425 hours, a Detective from the Robbery Unit developed probable cause for the arrest of a drive-by shooting suspect under the listed incident number. On 10-23-21 the suspect and an associate attempted to steal product from the Uncle Ike’s Dispensary in the 11000 block of Lake City Way. Multiple shots were fired by the suspect as he fled the scene. Detectives from the Robbery Unit and Gun Violence Reduction Un it located the suspect in the 500 block of 5th Ave on today’s date and took him into custody. In addition to the Seattle charges, the suspect has been involved in several other violent crimes in King County. He was interviewed and then booked into King County Jail.

#2021-300690/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-12-2021 at 1634 hours, a suspect entered a bank, handed the teller a note demanding money, and then left. Responding patrol officers saw a suspicious car with no plates leaving the area. The driver of the car matched the description of the bank robber. They attempted to stop the suspect and he took off. A short pursuit was initiated, ending when the suspect crashed. He was arrested without incident. Several incriminating items of evidence were seen in the suspect vehicle. The car was taken to the processing room. Robbery Unit detectives and FBI agents interviewed the suspect at headquarters. The suspect confessed to today’s bank robbery and to stealing the car during a burglary documented under 2021-299419.

#2021-300851/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-12-2021 at 1959 hours, officers located a reported stolen vehicle at a Shell gas station. The vehicle was blocked by another vehicle, so the two-person vehicle made a high risk stop. The suspect placed the car in drive and attempted to drive away with the officers now at the driver door. He rammed the vehicle blocking his path, refused to stop attempting to flee. A type 2 Use of Force was used, and the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect was treated at the scene by Seattle Fire and transported to Harborview Medical Center because he said he swallowed narcotics. He was later booked in King County Jail.

#2021-301031/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-12-2021 at 2346 hours, an adult victim reported to 911 that he accidentally shot himself. Officers arrived at a residential address in the 3200 Block of 40 AV SW and located a male with gunshot wound to his left hand and left leg. Officers quickly applied a tourniquet and secured the scene for Seattle Fire. The victim told officers he was attempting to clean the gun but forgot to clear the round from the chamber and subsequently shot himself when he pulled the trigger. Victim transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Gun collected and placed into evidence.
