#2021-301044/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-13-2021 at 0006 hours, a suspect entered a business and was looking at the menu until there were no other customers in the restaurant. The suspect then displayed a handgun and demanded the cash from the register. The employee complied. The suspect was last seen leaving in a SW direction. Officers arrived and K-9. The suspect was not located. Robbery was notified of the incident.

#2021-301089/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-13-2021 at 0130 hours, officers were arresting a robbery suspect. The suspect fought with officers, knocking one to the ground. The suspect then fled on foot. The officer who was assaulted foot chased the suspect until other units arrived and made the arrest. The suspect was booked for Assault 3.

#2021-301176/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 11-13-2021 at 0447 hours, officers were on patrol passing Pacific Iron & Metal at 2230 4 Ave S, 21-301176. Officers were discussing the number of burglaries this business has encountered. A call of a person with a gun came out and they were dispatched. They did a U-Turn and headed back past PI&M. They noticed a headlamp in the fenced area. They pulled in to investigate and on-viewed a burglary in progress. They captured the suspect. Found he used 2 floor jacks to lift the gate to create a spaced to crawl under and remove scrap metal found stacked inside and outside the fenced area. Suspect found to be in possession of over 300+ pieces of unopened mail consisting of checks, credit card applications, bank statements and Social Security statements. They contacted a U.S. Postal Inspector for follow up on the mail theft. Suspect also found to have a felony warrant for PSP of a stolen vehicle out of Clark County. Suspect booked to King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary, Felony warrant, Investigation of Mail theft, possession of financial access devices.

#2021-301354/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-13-2021 at 1030 hours, a locksmith awakened to find that his work van, which contained tens of thousands of dollars of specialized lock defeating and key making equipment, had been prowled from the secured garage of his apartment building. Roughly ten thousand dollars-worth of ‘master’ keys had been stolen, along with key making and lock defeating equipment. A member of the Latent Print Unit responded to the scene to process the vehicle for fingerprints, and the incident was screened with Major Crimes.

#2021-301592/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-13-2021 at 1530 hours, a would-be shoplifter was confronted by loss prevention officers at a grocery store in the 8300 block of 15 Av NW, when he pulled what was described as a “machete” and swung it at them several times before fleeing on foot. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect a short distance away based on the description provided. Probable Cause was established, and the suspect was positively identified and placed under arrest for Investigation of Robbery. The machete and a hatchet were recovered and placed into evidence. Sgt from the Robbery Unit screened this incident.

#2021-301692/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-13-2021 at 1700 hours, officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the 1700 Block of Airport Wy S. The vehicle was a black mid-2000’s Lexus IS with a rear WA Plate of AXR8093. The displayed plate returned to a gray 2008 Lexus IS. Officers contacted the driver. The driver spoke with officers briefly. Officers identified the driver positively. As officers moved to verify the VIN on the vehicle, the driver started the vehicle and rammed the Lexus into the unoccupied patrol vehicle and fled from officers. No officers were injured during this incident.

#2021-301659/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 11-13-2021 at 1715 hours, a group of 4 were walking on the sidewalk near 1 Ave / Cedar St. An unknown male suspect began attempting to provoke them into a fight. The group ignored the suspect. The suspect armed himself with a large knife or machete in a sheath, and assaulted one of the subjects in the group, hitting him on the head. The group got away from the suspect and called 911. Patrol responded and the suspect was not located at the time of this report.

#2021-301904/North Precinct/Third Watch:

n 11-13-2021 at 2148 hours, officers were dispatched to a vehicle vs pedestrian collision in the Lake City area. Seattle Fire arrived and pronounced the pedestrian deceased. Officers determined the pedestrian was J-Walking when he was struck by the vehicle. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation.
