#2021-302062/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 11-14-2021 at 0144 hours, officers were dispatched to an assault call in the Lake City area. Officers arrived and found a victim alone in their room with facial injuries. The caller was unable to provide details on the incident. The victim also was unable to provide details on the incident. The victim was transported to the hospital.
#2021-302095/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 11-14-2021 at 0231 hours, an officer located a stolen vehicle with a suspect asleep inside. The officer approached the vehicle and requested an additional patrol unit to pin the vehicle before waking the suspect. After applying a tight vehicle pin, the officers activated emergency lights and chirped their sirens to alert the suspect to their presence. The suspect was startled awake and attempted to drive away. After several attempts to escape, the suspect realized he could not move, and gave up to officers. The suspect had an outstanding DOC felony warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle, he was DWLS 1st Degree, and the stolen vehicle had a substantial amount of additional stolen property within. Suspect booked for Investigation PSP with several misdemeanor charges requested.
#2021-302107/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 11-14-2021 at 0245 hours, the Reporting Party (RP) advised a female was pulled into the passenger side of a black over red Mini Cooper as she screamed for assistance. The Mini, occupied by at least two subjects, then fled eastbound from the 2500 blk of NE 125 Street. There is very limited information regarding this incident, and officers were unable to obtain the license plate of the suspect vehicle or locate it during an area check. The RP captured evidence of the incident.
#2021-302186/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 11-14-2021 at 0557 hours, a male called Washington State Patrol (WSP) stating he was going to jump off the overpass at I-5/Pike Street. WSP contacted the subject on the bridge and requested assistance from SPD. West Precinct officers arrived and requested additional resources. Officers were able to talk the individual off the overpass without incident. The subject was taken to Harborview Medical Center for an ITA. The incident screened by Lt.
#2021-302187/East Precinct/First Watch:
On 11-14-2021 at about 0558 hours, two female victims were prepping their church for morning services. They left the church and were walking to a nearby home when suspect vehicles pulled up and confronted them at 22 Av./E. Yesler. The suspect vehicles were described as one white van and one red van, both occupied by drivers only (no other suspects seen). The suspects approached on foot and presented handguns (Suspect 1 had two handguns, Suspect 2 had one handgun). While pointing the guns at the victims, the suspects demanded their purses, wallets, cell phones. The victims gave the suspects the requested items, at which time the suspects re-entered their vans and fled the area n/b 22 Av. Note that both the victims are in their 70s. The suspects were coordinated in their crime of Robbery. No injuries to either victim.
#2021-302236/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 11-14-2021 at 0800 hours, officers responded to a burglary in progress at Allied Marble at 5219 4 Ave S. Suspect had fled prior to officers arriving. Victim had evidence of the suspect and officers recognized the suspect as a pedestrian they had just seen nearby. They did an area check, located the suspect, and detained him. Suspect identified and arrested for burglary.
#2021-302528/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 11-14-2021 at 1628 hours, two juvenile females were leaving a park when a male approached them and asked if he could give them a hug. They said no and he grabbed them and touched them inappropriately and in inappropriate places. Then he exposed himself to them. SPD and KCSO officers located and detained him. He was positively identified and arrested. The suspect has a history of sexual assaults, rapes, and indecent exposure. Sexual Assault Unit was notified and consulted.
#2021-302630/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 11-14-2021 at 1839 hours, officers initially responded to a call of a burglary in progress of an apartment building in the Mount Baker neighborhood of the South Precinct. Officers learned that the suspect used a large unknown tool to smash out glass to a stairwell door to gain entry. Officers made entry into the stairwell and encountered the suspect in a small vestibule at the top of the stairwell. The suspect actively resisted and fought against the officers as they attempted to take him into custody and a HELP THE OFFICER was called out. The suspect was eventually placed into handcuffs. The suspect was initially triaged at the scene by Seattle Fire before being transported to Harborview Medical Center via AMR for further medical screening. The suspect was eventually booked into King County Jail for burglary and several misdemeanor charges were requested.
