#2021-318047/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-02-2021 at 0003 hours, officers responded to a shooting in the 3900 block of S Othello St (Safeway). The shooting had occurred in the 7500 block of 40th Ave S, but the witness and victim drove away from the scene and were advised by dispatch to stop at this location. Officers arrived and rendered medical aid to the victim, until relieved by Seattle Fire. The victim sustained one gunshot wound (GSW) through his lower torso and was transported to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) in serious condition, where he underwent surgery. According to the witness, he and the victim were parked on 40th Ave S, when the occupant(s) of a black sedan drove past them and fired numerous rounds at their vehicle. Officers located the original scene and recovered evidence of a shooting. Gun Violence Reduction Unit Detectives responded to HMC to interview the victim and processed the victim vehicle for evidence.

On 12-02-2021 at 1100 hours, Gun Violence Reduction Unit and ATF arrested the suspect in Burien, WA for his federal probation warrant. The suspect was in possession of a 9mm handgun.
#2021-318933/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-02-2021 at 2231 hours, a suspect apparently decided to drive home after consuming about 24 bottles of beer. On the way home, he struck several power poles and light poles and caused power outages to over 100 residents in the North Beacon Hill neighborhood. The suspect kept driving home before crashing into a tree half a block from his house. The car was not drivable after the second crash, so the suspect decided to walk home. Officers located and arrested the driver for DUI and Hit & Run. No injury was reported.
