Detectives are investigating after a man was shot near Kobe Terrace park in the Chinatown-International District late Friday night.
At 11:18 p.m., police responded to 6th Avenue South and South Washington Street for reports of a shooting. Arriving officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the stomach and immediately began first aid. Seattle Fire Department medics responded and took over care, eventually transporting the 38-year-old victim to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Gun Violence Reduction Unit Detectives responded to the scene and interviewed multiple witnesses, who gave varying accounts of the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
