#2021-342551/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 12-30-2021 at 0827 hours, according to witnesses, vehicle #1 was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on E Cherry St. The driver of vehicle #1 attempted to pass a slower moving vehicle by passing in the westbound lane of travel. Vehicle #1 struck a westbound vehicle head-on in the westbound lane. The driver of vehicle #1 was trapped, unconscious, and sustained serious injuries. The driver and passenger of vehicle #2 both sustained fractures. All occupants were transported to Harborview Medical Center. The collision was screened through TCI. Command staff was notified.

#2021-342587/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 12-30-2021 at 1300 hours, SPD with assistance from the US Marshals and the FBI, served a warrant at the Motel 6 located at 16500 Pacific Highway South in SeaTac. The suspect was wanted for 12 robberies. The suspect was arrested without incident. Evidence was recovered from the scene. Suspect was interviewed and booked into King County Jail.

#2021-342994/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 12-30-2021 at 2016 hours, a lone gunman entered a marijuana dispensary brandishing a handgun. He demanded cash and wanted employees to open the business safe. When told they didn’t have access to the safe, the suspect took two till drawers containing approximately $6000.00 and fled on foot. K9 was able to track two blocks north to an area where a suspected getaway vehicle had fled from. No suspects were located. Patrol processed the scene. The robbery unit was monitoring SPD radio and was briefed on the incident by phone.

#2021-343069/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 12-30-2021 at 2249 hours, four masked males rushed into the Lux Pot Shop, located at 4465 Fremont AV N. At least two, possibly three, were armed with black handguns. After their demands to get into the safe were denied, they fled with the contents of the cash register. The suspects fled westbound then south on Evanston AV N. A K9 track was conducted but ended near the intersection of N 44th ST and Evanston AV N. Estimated loss was around $5000. Robbery was notified.
