#2022-022075/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-27-2022 at 0118 hours, an incident occurred in the 6600 blocks of 42 Av S. For some reason, the suspect threw a bottle at the victim’s vehicle, then pulled out a gun and fired one shot toward the victim’s house. The suspect left the area before officers arrived. Officers processed the scene. Gun Violence Reduction Unit was advised.

#2022-022171/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 01-27-2022 at 0532 hours, officers observed a RV on fire at an encampment. Seattle Fire was on scene and extinguished the blaze. The RV was a total loss. SFD verified that there were no occupants. It was determined that the fire was the result of a warming fire being too close to the RV and got out of control. The registered owner of the RV could not be located.

#2022-022323/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 01-27-2022 at 0912 hours, a semi-tractor & trailer were stopped at a red light heading EB on Marion, at 5th Ave. It is unknown, at this time, what caused the tractor & trailer to roll backwards down Marion St. The tractor & trailer struck multiple vehicles and the side of a building, before coming to a stop. No one was injured during the incident. The roadway remained closed for approximately 7 hours due to unsecured scaffolding along the side of the building. Commercial vehicle enforcement responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.

#2022-022490/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 01-27-2022 at 1252 hours, officers responded to a help the officer located at 1400 block 2 AVE. Officer was an out-of-agency off-duty officer attempting to apprehend a shoplift suspect. Suspect assaulted the officer in order to maintain possession of stolen items and left the location on foot. Responding SPD officers located the suspect and placed him under arrest without incident. Suspect was booked into SCORE jail.

#2022-022681/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 01-27-2022 at 1634 hours, a victim called 911 and reported a suspect displayed a pistol and was attempting to rob them at 14 Ave S / S Henderson St. Officers responded and contacted the victims. The victims stated they were sitting in their vehicle in a parking lot when an unknown suspect approached their vehicle. The suspect pounded on the window, pointed a handgun at one of the juvenile passengers and demanded money, which was visible on the vehicle dash. The victims refused to provide the money and told the suspect they were calling police. The suspect fled the scene on foot. Officers set up containment and a K9 unit was deployed. After several minutes the K9 track ended near an apartment complex and community center. A further area check proved negative for the suspect.

#2022-022690/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 01-27-2022 at 1647 hours, officers responded to a noise complaint on N. 107th St earlier in the day. The male contacted at that time was angry about a neighbor’s dog barking, so he turned up his music as loud as possible. After officers left the building, the suspect blaring the music became even more agitated. He stepped out onto his balcony and started yelling that he was going to shoot people. The suspect threatened to physically harm several people, with the threats containing extremely offensive and racially biased language. As the suspect was yelling, he threw a glass at a female passerby. The glass hit a wall and showered her with glass shards. As officers arrived on scene and contacted numerous victims outside, the suspect and his wife exited out the rear of the building and fled the scene in their vehicle. Officers located the suspect at a convenience store at 125th St N/Aurora Av N. As the suspect was exiting the store, officers gave a lawful order to stop. The suspect turned and fled into the store. The female suspect blocked the entrance to the store and attempted to punch an officer in the face. The female suspect was taken into custody for Assault and Obstruction, and the male suspect was arrested for Hate Crimes, Threats to Kill, and Assault.
