#2022-022929/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-28-2022 at 0016 hours, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery of the 7/11 on SW Avalon Way. The victim/caller was the clerk who provided limited information but reported the suspects’ use of a handgun during the incident. Officers arrived on scene, contacted the victim, and set up containment. K9 responded to assist in a search for suspects. The information provided by the victim was not sufficient for K9 to deploy for a track. Guardian One was unavailable due to weather conditions. Investigating officers contacted off-site security who provided potential evidence, which was uploaded. Officers conducted area checks with negative results. Robbery was notified.

#2022-022940/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-28-2022 at 0100 hours, Major Crimes Task Force Detectives conducted an undercover theft operation in North Seattle with the assistance of CRG and West Precinct Day Bikes as an arrest team. This investigation is still ongoing.

#2022-023193/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 01-28-2022 at 0926 hours, the victim and suspect were driving on the 1 AVE S Bridge when a road rage incident occurred. The suspect followed the victim and drove in front of him. The suspect got out of his vehicle and made threats to kill the victim. The victim drove away, and while driving in the area of W Marginal Way SW/Highland Park Way SW the suspect shot at the victim. The round struck the victim’s passenger side door. The suspect fled SB on Hwy 509. Officers broadcasted the suspect information, and evidence was uploaded.

#2022-023420/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 01-28-2022 at 1442 hours, officers observed a suspicious vehicle with subjects loading up copper in the area of 29 Ave SW / SW Brandon St. The vehicle was a KCSO reported stolen, but it fled the area. Officers located the vehicle at a West Seattle recycle center and detained the driver as he exited the business. The driver denied any knowledge of the vehicle, but then asked to retrieve his cigarettes from inside the stolen vehicle while he waited. The suspect was positively identified by officers and ICV has the subject who drove the vehicle from 29 / Brandon. He was taken into custody without incident. The KCSO hit had consent to search and, upon searching the vehicle, officers located a handgun under the driver’s seat and multiple construction tools. A check of the handgun listed it as a Seattle stolen. Some of the construction tools were verified as being taken during a burglary in February 2020. SW patrol processed the scene and collected further evidence. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for possession the stolen vehicle and being a felon in possession of a firearm/stolen firearm.

#2022-023798/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 01-28-2022 at 2320 hours, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 700 block of 7 Av. Multiple callers reported the victim was severely injured. Arriving officers found the victim seriously wounded and several additional people inside the apartment. Officers provided aid to the victim who was eventually transported to Harborview Medical Center by Seattle Fire medics. Officers interviewed all parties on scene and processed the scene. The suspect was interviewed and released. The victim was alive in surgery at the time of this SIR. Homicide notified.
