#2022-024457/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 01-29-2022 at 1757 hours, officers responded to a shots fired located at 12 AV S/S Jackson St. Officers formed a contact team and secured the scene. After a search of the area was conducted, there was no victim located but evidence of a shooting was found. There was no suspect information provided and no witnesses of the incident. Gun Violence Reduction Unit was contacted.
#2022-024575/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 01-29-2022 at 2054 hours, two masked gun men entered the marijuana shop located at 300 NW 85th ST. It was a take-over style robbery. Both suspects were armed, wearing gloves and their faces were covered. The suspect was armed with a more distinct gun, described as a black handle, with silver slide and a green laser. After fleeing with close to $10,000 in money and product, they fled in an unknown direction. An area check was conducted, and the suspects were not located. Robbery was notified and screened the incident.
#2022-024643/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 01-29-2022 at 2255 hours, officers responded to the 400 block of Dexter Ave N regarding the report of a male subject who told a passerby he had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who appeared to have suffered a single gunshot wound to his left calf. The shot was a through-and-through and appeared to have then entered his right leg at the ankle. A search of the nearby area revealed the incident location to be a nearby encampment. Evidence of a shooting was recovered. Several witnesses stated they heard two male voices in an argument prior to a single gunshot ringing out, however none of the witnesses saw anything. Victim transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
