Police are investigating after a man was stabbed Wednesday evening in an alley in the Central District.
At 7:38 p.m., police were called to the 1400 block of South King Street for a stabbing. The victim was walking through an alley toward his residence when he was stabbed by an unknown male. The victim made it home, where a family member called 911. Seattle Fire Department medics treated the 23-year-old man at the scene and then transported him to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
The victim provided officers with a description, leading police to detain two possible suspects in the area. Officers at the scene determined additional investigation and review of evidence was needed to make an arrest for the stabbing, but both men were booked into King County Jail on other charges – one for a burglary warrant and one for possession of an unlawful weapon.
Detectives will continue to investigate this incident, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
