#2022-028415/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 02-03-2022 at 0623 hours, officers responded to a report of an assault by a female who had hit a male with a glass bottle. (#2022-028403) After a short, muddy foot pursuit the suspect was taken into custody. One officer had slipped in the mud and was assaulted by the suspect. Suspect was declined by Harborview Medical Center for altered mental status and is on hospital guard. Screened with Lt.

#2022-028467/North Precinct/First Watch:

On 02-03-2022 at 0739 hours, officers responded to an assault of a staff member at a shelter. The suspect was sitting in an outside courtyard and charged at two officers, kicking them in the shins. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. Shelter staff was uncooperative and would not speak with officers. The incident was screened with Lt. Neither officer was injured.

#2022-028523/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 02-03-2022 at 0852 hours, a semi-tractor & trailer was stopped at a red light on E. Marginal Way S/Diagonal Av S. As the light turned green, the driver proceeded to make a left turn onto Diagonal Av and struck a utility pole. The collision sheared the pole from its base, leaving it hanging by the attached wires. Traffic was diverted away from the area with the assistance of SDOT, WSDOT and SPD Traffic units. According to SDOT, the roadway will be closed for 6-8 hours until they can replace the pole.

#2022-029007/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 02-03-2022 at 1847 hours, officers were dispatched to a fight in progress near Rainier Av S/ S McClellan St. The call was updated that several subjects had been stabbed. Arriving officers were able to obtain a description of the suspect vehicle and stopped it leaving the scene a few blocks away. It was determined that the involved adult subjects knew each other and had an argument that turned into a fight, escalating into a stabbing. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with several non-life-threatening stab wounds. The suspect was arrested and later booked into King County Jail for felony assault. Reporters arrived on scene. The SPD Media Unit was also notified.

#2022-029130/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 02-03-2022 at 2133 hours, officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the 2100 block of E James St. When units arrived, they located a scene inside the building, and another in the parking lot. It appears a fight disturbance escalated to a shooting. There were no known victims, and no viable witnesses. East patrol processed the scene. Subjects are outstanding.

#2022-029196/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 02-03-2022 at 2345 hours, 3 suspects strong arm robbed 2 victims in the 700 block of South Jackson. One victim fought back, and one suspect produced a gun. Victims ran off in different directions and shots were fired. No victims or property believed to have been hit by shots. Evidence of a shooting recovered. Suspects outstanding.
