#2022-030289/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 02-05-2022 at 0232 hours, officers responded to the 3000 Block of SW Charlestown ST in reference to a residential burglary call. The victim heard rustling in the downstairs of the residence and subsequently discovered a large amount of cash and a handgun missing. An area check was conducted but no suspects were located.
#2022-030358/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-05-2022 at 0543 hours, officers responded to a shots fired call in the 13000 block of 10 Av Ne. The victim reported he interrupted two suspects siphoning gas out of his vehicle. When the victim confronted them one suspect fired a single round as they both ran off into the wooded area of Jackson Park Golf Course. The victim could not give a good description of either suspect and no K9 was available at the time. An area check for the suspects was negative.
#2022-031032/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 02-05-2-22 at 2216 hours, a person was out for a walk in the area of 12 AV South and South Jackson St when they came across an unknown suspect who fired a single handgun round into the ground. Fragments from the gunshot hit the walker’s lower legs causing minor injuries.
