Police are investigating after a man in his 20’s 21-year-old man was shot Wednesday afternoon in Pioneer Square.
Witnesses began calling 911 at 1:30 PM for a report of a shooting in the 200 block of James Street. When police arrived they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds on the street. Officers provided first aid until Seattle Fire Department Medics arrived and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center.
Witnesses told officers they saw a black male wearing a grey hoodie and grey sweatpants get into a Jeep Cherokee and flee the scene.

UPDATE: Officers recovered two handguns at the scene in a small cross-body bag. Detectives continue to investigate.
UPDATE 2/10/22: Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit tracked the suspects to an apartment in the 11200 block of Greenwood Avenue North late Wednesday evening. The officers served a search warrant and were able to safely arrest two people and recover evidence linking them to the shooting. Detectives continue investigating in hopes to determine what led up to the shooting.
