#2022-037325/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 02-13-2022 at 0145 hours, officers responded to an assault call of a male assaulting females at E Pike St and Broadway with a baseball bat. Officers arrived and located the suspect attempting to drive away. Officers pulled the suspect over and detained him. Officers located two female victims and two of their friends covered in blood. There was an altercation between four female subjects and the male suspect on the street. The altercation became physical, and the suspect punched the female victims before going to his vehicle and grabbing a Tee-ball baseball bat. The suspect assaulted both of the female victims in the head before he attempted to flee. The suspect was placed under arrest for investigation of assault-2.
#2022-037442/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-13-2022 at 0628 hours, a suspect broke apart several metal ‘No Parking” signs and then jumped over a high fence with barbed wire on top. He then proceeded to damage several windows of the business with pieces of the metal sign. Officers contacted him and attempted to place him in custody, but he was resistant and screaming. Suspect was eventually placed into custody. No reportable force was used, and no injuries reported. Suspect claimed he smoked “a lot” of meth. He was booked into jail.
#2022-037583/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-13-2022 at 1119 hours, Swedish First Hill Hospital received two phone calls within minutes of each other from the same unknown suspect telling them an explosive was placed in the hospital and the hospital better evacuate. Patrol officers responded to the scene and paired up with hospital security officers to sweep vulnerable areas of the hospital for suspicious device. No device was found. Watch Commander was notified of the incident and responded to the scene. Incident was screened with Arson Bomb Squad. Patrol officers investigated and documented the incident.
#2022-037607/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-13-2022 at 1150 hours, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 200 block of Bell, alley to the south, officers located the victim after she walked away from the scene and was reluctant to stop for officers. Officers rendered aid to the victim for a wound to her abdomen and transferred care to Seattle Fire upon their arrival. Area check negative for the suspect. Scene processed by patrol.
#2022-037714/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 02-13-2022 at 1455 hours, officers responded to a Hit and Run with injuries (minor). Suspect left the scene of the collision but was subsequently located. On search incident to arrest, a stolen handgun reported out of Everett (EPD 2021-96989) was recovered from the suspect. (SPD 2022-037792) Suspect was booked into King County Jail.
#2022-037937/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 02-13-2022 at 2124 hours, officers responded to a disturbance call about a known male trying to gain entry into the caller’s apartment from their 3rd story balcony. Officers contacted the caller and developed probable cause to arrest the subject on the balcony for investigation of burglary. Officers went to place handcuffs on the subject and the subject actively resisted officers. While placing the subject’s hands behind his back the subject grabbed officer’s hands and fingers, contorting them in such a way to cause extreme pain to the officers. At one point the subject grabbed hold of an officer’s thumb for approximately 45 seconds while the officers attempted to get him into handcuffs. Ultimately the subject was placed into handcuffs and placed under arrest for Burglary, Assault-3 and VUCSA. Subject was booked into King County Jail. Officers were seen at the hospital and were determined to have sprains of their wrists/fingers and will require follow-up.
