#2022-039330/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 02-15-2022 at 1309 hours, officers responded to a shooting in a recreational vehicle parked in the 1400 BLK of NW 52 ST. There were several people gathered in the RV. The RV’s occupants reported a female came into the RV armed with a shotgun and demanded money from them. The occupants surrendered their money and a cell phone to the suspect. One of the RV’s occupants attempted to disarm the suspect and a brief altercation over the shotgun ensued. The suspect fired a round into the RV floor and dropped the shotgun. The suspect then left the RV leaving the shotgun behind. She got into a vehicle being driven by an unknown male and they fled the scene. Officers recovered the shotgun from the RV. Officers processed the scene for evidence. Officers searched for, but did not locate, the suspects.

#2022-039441/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 02-15-2022 at 1535 hours, a suspect was seen by witnesses yelling at an ATM and trying to pry it open. The suspect then confronted a passerby (victim) and began yelling that he stole his money and phone. The suspect assaulted the victim, yelling “give me my money.” Suspect punched the victim, knocked him to the ground and dragged him into the roadway. Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody after a struggle (no use of force). The suspect still claimed the victim stole his phone. The victim suffered minor injuries. Suspect was booked for malicious mischief, attempted robbery with a referral mental health court.

#2022-039478/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 02-15-2022 at 1630 hours, officers responded to a shooting at 15 AV NW and NW Leary WY and found a male who had been shot in the hip. The male stated he’d been shot at an encampment located on NW 52 ST, just east of 15 AV NW (just behind O’Reilly’s Auto Parts 5220 15 AV NW). The male suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. Officers processed the crime scene for any evidence. Officers searched for, but did not locate, the shooter. Gang Violence Reduction Unit notified of this incident.

#2022-039544/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 02-15-2022 at 1758 hours, a victim was sitting in his car when a suspect walked up to his window and asked, “You selling weed?” Victim said the suspect opened the passenger side door, entered his car, and pointed a handgun at him. Once in the car, the suspect grabbed the victim’s gun that was sitting on the center console. The suspect and the victim began to fight over the two handguns. The victim’s handgun fired one round into the rear seat of the victim’s car. They continued to struggle, and ended up outside of the car, fighting in the parking lot. The victim was bitten on the hand leaving an open, bleeding wound. The suspect pistol whipped the victim in the head multiple times. The 25-round magazine fell from the victim’s gun during the struggle. The suspect finally separated and ran to his nearby car, still in possession of both guns. The suspect fled in a gray Toyota Camry. Officers found a cell phone and one shoe in the victim’s car that did not belong to the victim. Suspect was not located by patrol. Incident was screened with Robbery.

#2022-039670/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 02-15-2022 at 2040 hours, officers responded to a shooting call in the Haller Lake Neighborhood. The victim called 911 and reported that he was shot in the leg. Officers arrived and provided medical aid to the victim. The victim informed officers that a group of high school aged kids approached him and one of them shot him in the leg. Officers established containment. The victim was unable to describe exactly where the shooting occurred, so a start point for K9 for could not be established. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
