#2022-055974/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-05-2022 at 1904 hours, a female victim, who is a vulnerable adult, met an acquaintance several years ago and who has been taking money from her over the years. The male suspect came over to her residence and demanded more money. When the victim refused, he began yelling at her, tried to take her cell phone, and stated that if she did not give him money, he was going to burn her house down. He also shoved her, either onto the couch, or into a doorway. When patrol arrived, they observed the suspect inside standing over the victim on the couch screaming at her. The victim was able to get out of the residence, but then the suspect (who does not live there) refused to come out. Periodic contact was made via cell phone by an Hostage Negotiation Team officer, and after repeated delays and changes by the suspect, he eventually came out and was arrested without further incident.
