#2022-056231/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 03-06-2022 at 0135 hours, officers responded to the 1300 block of Harbor Ave SW for a disturbance with possible shots fired. Updates while en route indicated that multiple vehicles were involved and actively shooting as they fled the area southbound. Officers arrived and located a sprawling scene that stretched from the 1300 to the 2300 block of Harbor Ave SW. Witnesses had varying accounts of events and could only provide minimal information regarding involved persons. 3 vehicles were likely involved, but no specifics were provided. No victims were located, and no property damage was discovered during this search. Evidence of a shooting was located along this stretch of road. While investigating this incident an unknown person admitted themselves with a gunshot wound to Swedish First Hill 22-56241. This unidentified person fled the hospital prior to SPD response, and it is unknown if the injury was related to the shooting incident on Harbor Ave SW. All evidence was photographed and collected to be submitted. Gun Violence Reduction Unit was contacted and screened the incident.
#2022-056214/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 03-06-2022 at 0045, emphasis units in the 1500 Block of 3 Av heard 7-10 possible gunshots coming from the south (somewhere on Pine St). Officers responded to the area but could not locate any witnesses, victims, or visible property damage. At about 0421, officers responded to a glass break alarm in the 400 block of Pine and found a shattered window and street sign with damage. Officers recovered evidence. Note: At 0154 hours, a gunshot victim presented at Swedish Hospital First Hill (700 Minor Avenue) but left the hospital prior to police arriving. It is unknown if this event is related. #2022-056323/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 03-06-2022 at 0545 hours, a victim and suspect were in the drive-through line at a fast-food restaurant. Suspect drove to the exit after picking up his order as if to leave. Victim stopped his car behind suspect vehicle at the exit after retrieving his order. Victim drove around the suspect when he realized the suspect was not moving. The suspect immediately began tailgating the victim all the way to the stop light at S Dearborn St underneath the I-5 overpass. The suspect pulled up along the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle and began flailing his arms back and forth at the victim. The light turned green, and the victim hit the gas. Victim heard two loud “pops” as he was leaving and saw the suspect enter the Northbound I-5 on ramp. The victim drove to work and noticed a bullet hole in his passenger side door. Officers located evidence of a shooting at the scene. GVRU notified.
#2022-056699/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 03-06-2022 at 1702 hours, a suspect attempted to stab his roommate. The roommate escaped the apartment and called 911. The suspect barricaded himself in the apartment. Hostage Negotiation Team and SWAT responded to the scene. The suspect was taken into custody and booked.
