Police are investigating after a man was shot in an apparent dispute over drugs early Tuesday in Georgetown.
At 6 AM, a 48-year-old man with a gunshot wound was dropped off at Harborview. The victim’s friend reportedly found him near 6th Avenue and Myrtle Street and drove him to the hospital.
Police learned the victim had been inside an RV at 8th Avenue and Myrtle Street when another man forced his way inside and brandished a handgun. The two men argued, reportedly about narcotics, before the suspect shot the victim. The argument continued for a short time before the suspect fled.
The victim declined to identify the suspect to police.
