#2022-059836/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-10-2022 at 0253 hours, officers, Arson Bomb Squad, and Seattle Fire responded to a structure fire at an apartment building. Upon arrival SFD discovered one victim in the lobby suffering from smoke inhalation. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. It appears there were multiple fires set in/around the building that caused significant damage to the lobby area. There is no suspect information at this time. ABS detectives are handling the investigation.

#2022-059892/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 03-10-2022 at 0459 hours, officers assigned to the 12/Jackson detail heard one gunshot to the south of their location. Officers saw two males in the area, both claimed no knowledge of the incident. A witness was contacted a short time later who said one of the males the officers saw was the shooter. No injuries were identified, no crime scene located. A Gun Violence Reduction Unit detective working the 3/Pine detail responded and interviewed the witness.

#2022-060064/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 03-10-2022 at 0946 hours, there was a report of an armed robbery at 1728 4 Av S. When officers arrived, they found that there were 5 employees inside the store. Employees told officers that there were 2 suspects armed with handguns. The suspects ordered all store employees to the ground. They went to the back of the store and took cash and marijuana. Suspects exited the store on foot and went southbound on 4 Av S. No employees were hurt. Guardian 1 was not available along with K9. Officers did an area check but were unsuccessful locating suspects. Robbery was notified of the incident.

#2022-030121/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 03-10-2022 at 1104 hours, officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 500 block of S Jackson. The Reporting Party (RP), a retired Metro driver, told officers he was sitting in his car when the suspect started messing with his side mirror. RP told the suspect to leave and raised an anti-theft club. The suspect raised a .45 handgun in response. RP drove off and thought he heard the sound of a gunshot. No evidence was found, area check negative for the suspect.

#2022-060499/East Precinct/Second Watch:

On 03-10-2022 at 1806 hours, the victim in this incident was at the north end of Cal Anderson Park and seated in his vehicle when he was approached by two adult males in ski masks. One of the males pointed a handgun at his face and ordered the victim out of his car. The victim exited and ran from the scene. The primary suspect stole the victim’s vehicle as the second suspect got into an additional vehicle and followed. One of the responding officers spotted the victim’s vehicle with very distinct markings as it headed southbound on 12th Av. It appeared to be accompanied by a second vehicle. The officer got in behind the stolen car and after following it for a few blocks activated his emergency equipment. Both vehicles sped off at a high rate of speed westbound on Yesler and into the West Precinct. As the vehicles sped up to elude the officer, he de-activated his emergency equipment and stopped following the suspects. Officers received information a short time later that the secondary vehicle had been involved in a minor accident at 6 Av and Yesler. Officers were dispatched to handle this accident. There were no injuries involved and minimal property damage. The stolen/carjacked vehicle and the accomplice vehicle are still outstanding. This incident was screened with Robbery and TCIS.

#2022-060516/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 03-10-2022 at 1822 hours, officers responded to a 911 call of a fight between 5 to 10 people in the 13700 block of 32 AV NE. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile victim with stab wounds to the upper back and arm. The involved subjects had already fled the scene. Officers were able to piece together portions of the incident from the victim and ‘uninvolved’ witnesses. A group of juveniles, including a former girlfriend, showed up at the victim’s apartment. They supposedly wanted to fight with his sister. He followed the group into the street. A fight ensued. An unidentified adult male with a beard ran up behind the suspect and stabbed him in the back once or twice. When the victim turned, the suspect stabbed him in the arm. The suspect may have fled the scene with other people in a silver Chevy. Officers secured the scene. Seattle Fire responded and treated the victim for non-life-threatening wounds. He was transported to the hospital. An area check for the suspect was negative. This incident was screened by Lt.

#2022-060562/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-10-2022 at 1942 hours, a 911 call was placed where reporting party (RP) stated they heard several shots being fired. Subsequent callers stated their home had been hit by fired shots. One of the callers stated a Mustang was shooting at another vehicle. No suspects / vehicles located. No persons injured. Minor property damage located. Evidence of a shooting was recovered. Scene processed by patrol.

#2022-060657/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-10-2022 at 2159 hours, officers were flagged down at 3 AV and BELL ST about a stabbing that occurred on a bus. An officer with EMT training provided aid until Seattle Fire arrived. The victim was very intoxicated and there was a limited suspect description. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center via SFD still alert and conscious. The call was screened with homicide.

#2022-06073703/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-10-2022 at 2300 hours, a female was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle. The female was subsequently taken to Harborview Medical Center reference an unrelated issue and after approval, I&Rd from custody due to an extended ETA for hospital clearance. Later, at about 0044 hours on 03-11-2022, the same female arrived on foot at the West Precinct and was observed pulling on the door handles of parked patrol vehicles outside the West Precinct. Officers contacted her and she was upset because officers confiscated her Fentanyl pills earlier during her arrest and she wanted them back. Officers explained this was not going to happen and she spit at an officer, hitting him in the face. She was then placed under arrest for assault 3 and the earlier possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into King County Jail.
