#2022-063990/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 03-14-2022 at 1713 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of a road rage situation where the suspect pointed a firearm at a victim. A plate was gathered, and Probable Cause was established. Officers went to the Registered Owner’s (RO) address of the suspect vehicle and contacted a male matching the description of the suspect. This male was detained, and a show up was conducted with a positive I.D from the victim. A search warrant was then written and granted, and a Glock 23 was located inside of the residence. The suspect is a convicted felon and prohibited from owning firearms. Suspect was booked into King County Jail.

#2022-064043/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 03-14-2022 at 1815 hours, officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 7000 block of Rainier Ave S. Officers arrived and located the victim in the middle of Rainier Ave S. Officers then provided life-saving medical care until Seattle Fire arrived. While looking for the scene of the shooting, officers noticed an open door at a nearby apartment building. A large pool of blood could be seen inside the unit. Officers checked the residence for additional victims, then held the scene until Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) detectives arrived. GVRU detectives obtained a search warrant for the apartment and processed the scene.

#2022-064225/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-14-2022 at 2249 hours, a suspect forced his way into a victim’s residence and locked himself in the basement of the house. The victim also stated the suspect had assaulted him. It was determined that the suspect had a DOC Felony sex offender escape warrant. It was confirmed the suspect had no claims of residency to being in the house and the victim gave consent for us to go inside. Officers entered through an outside basement door, but the suspect then locked himself in another portion of the house and threatened to “Bear Mace” officers if they came in. Officers de-escalated. The Hostage Negotiation Team was called and was able to establish a dialogue. The suspect then lite the carpet on fire forcing officers to enter the living area and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
