#2022-087172/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 04-08-2022 at 0215 hours, officers were dispatch to an attempted burglary where someone was trying to enter through a window. Officers arrived and found the person was on the roof of a business and residence. The suspect was doing damage, so officers began a dialogue to attempt to de-escalate. The suspect got down off the roof but then grabbed a large metal pipe and began hitting items and threatening officers. A taser was deployed and the suspect was taken into custody. Once at the precinct, the suspect was in the holding cell and requested a glass of water. The suspect drank the cup of water and then kicked an officer in the leg.
#2022-087883/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 04-08-2022 at 1758 hours, a homeowner called saying an unknown male was seen on his home surveillance system attempting to gain entry into his home, while his wife was there alone. The caller updated that the suspect was seen climbing a ladder and attempting to gain entry. Officers arrived, contained the home, and formed a contact team. At the back of the house, the suspect was found at the top of a ladder leading to a second story deck. The suspect followed orders and was taken into custody without issue. Officers got the terrified woman out of the house and cleared the home. The suspect was found with a pornographic magazine in the bag he was holding, and his genitals were hanging outside of his pants. Suspect was booked for investigation of burglary with sexual motivation. SAU and Media notified.
#2022-088104/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 04-08-2022 at 2301 hours, officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots being fired in the area of 2 Ave S/S Occidental. Upon arrival, officers secured the area then conducted an additional area search for suspect(s) and or victims which met with negative results. Officers located evidence of a shooting in the alley way at which time it was processed and recovered by on scene officers. Incident was screened by GVRU detectives.
