#2022-088204/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-09-2022 at 0142 hours, a witness reported there was a group of people in the parking lot of Gas Works Park when people in two vehicles began shooting at the people in another. That third vehicle returned fire. All vehicles then sped out of the parking lot. Two unrelated vehicles were struck by rounds. Officers arrived and evidence of a shooting was recovered. No injured people were located.

#2022-088239/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-09-2022 at 0243 hours, calls started coming in to 911 regarding shots having been heard in the area of 68 Av S and Holyoke Way S. Officers arrived and located evidence of a shooting but no signs of property damage or victims. The scene was processed, and the report forwarded to GVRU.

#2022-088387/North Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-09-2022 at 0819 hours, a suspect entered a Bartell’s in Wallingford and began concealing multiple items. A customer confronted the suspect and the two engaged in a physical fight. During the fight a handgun fell out of the suspect’s bag and onto the ground. The suspect picked up the gun and pointed it at a store employee before fleeing the scene on foot. Robbery was notified of the incident.

#2022-088800/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-09-2022 at 1714 hours, officers responded to a robbery call at the Westwood Village. The victim advised that a suspect walked into a business and grabbed two boxes of hair clippers and then proceeded to the exit door. As the suspect approached the exit door, the employee told the suspect that he needed to pay for the items. The suspect then said, “if you call anyone, I will slit your throat”, but no knife was seen. The victim did not call the police until 15 minutes later, because she was looking for the Westwood Village security. Officers conducted an area search for the suspect, but it was unsuccessful.

#2022-088837/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-09-2022 at 1807 hours, two separate vehicles reportedly exchanged gunfire near the entrance of a very large apartment complex in the 9000 block of Seward Park AV S. One round went through an upstairs apartment and into an interior wall. The residents were inside that unit, but no one was injured. An area check for the (possible) involved vehicles/suspects yielded negative results. Evidence of a shooting by both a rifle and handgun was collected. Officers received no reports of anyone shot.
