#2022-092063/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-13-2022 at 1016 hours, apartment staff checked inside a unit located on the 3rd floor in the 4600 BLK of M L King Jr WY S. An officer and Sgt arrived and saw a deceased body. Possible blood evidence was located inside the apartment. Homicide was notified about the incident, and the medical examiner is enroute.

#2022-091957/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-13-2022 at 0844 hours, officers responded to the Pac Med Center to investigate a male subject that had unlawfully entered a secure building, barricaded himself in a 3rd floor office, and made threats to shoot anyone that made entry. Officers established containment on the building, evacuated the employees, and established contact teams, and other roles, and limited the suspect’s ability to move within the building. A tactical plan was created, and a command post was established. Officers / Hostage Negotiation Team (HNT) established communication with the suspect. HNT, CRT, and SWAT provided assets and assisted throughout the event. The suspect made multiple threats that he would kill himself, shoot officers, and shoot rounds through the door, and the only way he was leaving is if police killed him. After a lengthy five plus hour standoff the suspect exited the office and was taken into custody. The suspect was booked for felony harassment.

#2022-059811/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On April 12th detectives from the GVRU and ATF agents served a warrant on the suspect’s residence in Shoreline. Two firearms and a rocket launcher were recovered at that time. On today’s date the GVRU and ATF were able to locate the suspect in the 10700 block of Meridian Ave N and take him into custody on federal firearms charges. He was booked into the FDC. This same suspect was exhibiting erratic behavior at a downtown Seattle hotel on March 10th. Patrol officers recovered multiple firearms from his vehicle at that time, which led to the filing of the federal charges. The ATF and GVRU will be handling follow up on this case.

#2022-092394/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-13-2022 at 1703 hours, a subject was reported blocking a driveway while passed out at the wheel. Officers arrived and attempted to wake the subject, which failed for a while. However, once awake the subject was annoyed. Officer did not smell any intoxicants but noticed blood shot eyes. The subject threw his wallet at an officer striking him in the left leg when asked for his ID. Officers ordered him out of the car to do SFTS. Subject was belligerent and picked up a bowl from the passenger seat and threw it at the officer, soiling his uniform. The subject was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody. No reportable force and no injury to the officer. Subject continued to yell veiled threats at the officer during the screening process. Booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault 3.

#2022-092575/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-13-2022 at 2110 hours, officers responded to the 9400 block of 27th Ave SW for a report of shots heard. Callers reported a black sedan possibly involved that fled the scene prior to SPD arrival. Officers located vehicle tracks at the location of the call, along with a fluid spill that led them from the scene to several blocks away where a Ford Crown Victoria (painted flat back) had come to a stop. Upon seeing a patrol car, this vehicle fled from officers at a high rate of speed. No scene had been established and at the time of this SIR the vehicle has not been located. Further investigation at the original scene was conducted and officers located evidence of a shooting in the 2600 block of SW Cambridge St. It was photographed and collected for submission to SPD Evidence. GVRU notified of the incident.
