Detectives Investigating Early Wednesday Morning Homicide in CID

Detectives are investigating after a man was shot and killed in the Chinatown-International District early Wednesday morning. 

At 12:28 a.m., police responded to Fourth Avenue South and South Main Street for reports of a shooting. Police arrived and found a man with a gunshot wound. Officers and Seattle Fire Department medics attempted lifesaving measures, but the 23-year-old man was declared deceased at the scene.

According to witnesses, an altercation between several people preceded the shooting. 

Members of SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to process the scene for evidence. 

Homicide Detectives also responded and will continue to investigate.
