SPD detectives are investigating after a woman reported she was sexually assaulted by a masked man in Golden Gardens Park early Monday.
Around 3 AM on April 18th, police contacted the victim in the 8300 block of 29th Avenue Northwest. The victim told officers she’d been walking on a trail in Golden Gardens Park when a man walked up behind her and pulled her to the ground.
The woman fought with the suspect, who attempted to take off her pants. The victim was eventually able to fight off the suspect, who fled.
The victim described the suspect as “tall” with stubble on his face. He was reportedly wearing a heavy jacket, black gloves, and a ski mask.
The victim sustained facial and other bodily injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
