On 04-21-2022 at 1530 hours, officers responded to an individual in crisis who was yelling/screaming at his mother. Once inside they determined he was a danger to himself and began the ITA process. While waiting for AMR the suspect decided he no longer wanted to go to the hospital and head-butted an officer in the face (Small cut to the inside of the officer’s lip) and kicked him twice in the leg. He attempted to strike another officer however, he missed his target. The suspect was transported to KCJ where they declined him for being, “too erratic”. It was decided to ITA him as officers did not have staffing to monitor him at HMC (to await booking). No officer hospitalized. All aspects of the call were screened.
